Over at Delilah's home, her mother was furious. "I thought you told me your blind date went fine with Lucas Lee. How did he meet your sister and how did he end up marrying her instead?!" Clarice Wong complained. "You've completely humiliated us. How will I face my friends now?"

Delilah furrowed her brows in frustration. "Do you think I wanted this to happen? That little sl*t lied to me! She was supposed to help me!" she argued back.

"How could you have trusted her? She's poor, just like her father. Did you really think she'd hand a billionaire over to you? You're too naive!" Delilah's mother scoffed.

Hearing the mother and daughter argue, Delilah's stepfather, Jimmy Chung, approached to stop them. "Clarice, I'm sure Delilah's already upset enough. Give her some space," he persuaded.

Although he wasn't her biological father, he had always doted on Delilah.
