Second time is the charm

Well, that didn't go as planned. For a long time, Marcus and I walked not saying a word to each other, just deeply engrossed in our thoughts or should I say shock. Our feet came to a halt when I saw an electronic shop along the street. I grabbed Marcus' arm saying, "There, let's buy Sabbie a TV." Since Marcus had no money with him, I agreed to cater for the expenses so long as he was going to repay me his half of the expenses. Our next stop was the furniture shop to get a nice coffee table. The challenging part was finding the water glasses as we could not agree on which one resembled the ones Sabrina had. Finally, to settle the argument we called upon the instinctive opinion of the supermarket attendant on which glasses were suitable for drinking juice or water in a woman's house. Also to cool down Sabrina's inextinguishable anger, I added to the list some of the groceries, toiletries, and household essentials I noticed were running out at her apartment.

Once our shopping spree was done we dreaded going back to her apartment but if we wanted to be close to her again we had to give it a try. The second time is the charm, right? Bags and boxes at hand we knocked on her door. When she opened her door, her frown turned to a smile and she hugged us, helping us out with the shopping saying, "Look at you guys, you listened this time like good children." We chuckled when we detected the mischief in her voice. We will talk about the hug later though. I couldn't help but notice how teary she become when she began unpacking and realized we had shopped for things she needed. She said, "How did you know I need these things. Thank you so much you two." I replied cheekily, "You are welcome but can I get a hug for being a good person?" her stern reply was enough to tell me loud and clear her stand about me, "Don't push it!"

Hunger was catching up to us so Marcus offered to cook something else, but Sabbie was craving KFC chicken wings. Her wish is my command, we decided to eat out. Sabbie excused herself to change into something more presentable and comfortable. When she stepped out of the bedroom, I was lost for words. In a knee-length blue dress with yellow flowers with black sneakers, she looked like a goddess, an empress. Never had a pregnant woman looked this beautiful! I swear I was gaping and drooling now until Marcus hit my arm to bring me back to reality.

Once downstairs, I opened the passenger door as Marcus took the backseat and I the driver's seat. When we arrived at KFC, we took a seat by the window as Marcus went to the counter to make our order. As I was beginning to compliment Sabrina of her pristine beauty, a man approached us pointing at Sabrina saying, "You are that chic who killed a man and pretended that he molested you? Look at you with another man." Turning towards me he said, "My guy be careful with this one, she will murder you and claim you tried to molest her, these ladies would do anything for fame." I could not stand another moment hearing this man, whose opinion did not matter insulting my girl. I rose up and punched him across the face and as he turned to stumble, Marcus punched him too and when he turned towards me in confusion and pain, I punched him again and he fell down unconscious.

The security guard came to send us away for disrupting the peace of their establishment, I took Sabrina by the hand and took her to the car. Seeing her tears literally broke my heart.
