Honestly speaking, I was a little nervous but on the other hand. I wanted to go with him and get to know more about him.

It was a gathering with his friends so of course I'd get to know a lot.

And really at this point I couldn't even refuse.

He got me such a nice dress as well and there was no way I could say at the last moment that I didn't want to go.

All his friends should be around his age and I go to a prestigious school so that should cover me up!

I took a deep breath and wore the green dress with bell bottom sleeves that had a net lining all around and went did some very light makeup and went out to the lounge.

Calix was busy on a call and I waited for him quietly to turn around and notice me.

"Yeah alright." He talked, "Email it to me and I'll check it out." He nodded his head, "Alright the ." He finished the call and turned around.

As soon as he did he paused because I was the first person in his view.

Then he smiled, "You look lovely." And there was no way I couldn't smile in return for him. It just came out automatically.

"Thank you."

"Shall we go?" He approached me and gave out his hand for me to take.

"Yes," I took it

The gathering was within my expectations. A hall was booked for the small party and although it was a casual event, it was still held my rich people and everyone was dressed very nicely.

I am so glad Calix got me this dress!!

I feel so much at ease because I can blend in with the crowd!

But, the thing is, I think I blended in too well and became a mob character.

The minute we entered the place everyone started storming around Calix.

I guess he's loved by many people.

I was sort of pushed away from him and decided to stay away.

But Calix soon caught onto the situation and noticed I wasn't by his side.

"Rave?" He looked around for a bit.

"Who's Rave?"

"You brought along a date?"

His friends were curious about me and that sort of made me nervous.

I contemplated between moving further away and answering Calix's call.

I hadn't come to decision yet when he found me and walked over.

His idealizers followed behind and as soon as Calix grabbed my hand they all got suspicious.

"Stay with me alright?" He said and I could do was nod.

I wasn't very comfortable with all the attention I was getting but at the same time, my omega felt very happy when Calix held my hand.

"Hey!!" The questions started coming in, "Who's this??" So many of them asked the same question over and over again at the same time that Calix had to answer this.

"She is-" He paused and I looked up at him in anticipation. How is he going to introduce me? My heart beat got a little erratic, "-a really close friend of mine." His words made my heart shatter, "She's my date for tonight."

His friends were satisfied with that answer but for some reason I wasn't.

I know I was the one who wanted to not come into the spot light especially with the elites but now that he didn't introduce me as his mate, it was like daggers to my heart.

I shouldn't be like this.

His answer was perfect for making me stay neutral but I can't help wanting more.

I'm such a hypocrite but I can't help it.

I want to tell everyone he's mine!
