42 To face things ahead

"Calix..." I held his hands, "You will stay with me right?" I looked into his rights.

"Of course!" He answered immediately

"No matter what decision I make?"

He nodded, "No matter what."

I smiled at him.

All my doubts and fear that made me cry before began to disappear.

I felt a lot more calmer.

I took a deep breath as I thought about things.

If I want to stay with Calix, I'll eventually have to face everything anyway so why not go through it all and face everything now? The faster the better right?

"Calix?" I gulped.

"Yes?"

"I don't want to run away." My answer surprised him. I guess he wasn't expecting this from me.

"Are you sure?" He asked, "Do you want to face everything head on?"

I nodded and then squeezed his hands, "I want to stay with you." My words shocked him again, "And because I want to be with you I should at least do this." I gave him an awkward smile, "Right?"

He paused then gave me a really warm smile. The he pulled me into a hug, "Fate is never wrong." He whispered and I hugged him back.

Then I broke the hug and looked at him again, "Are we going back to your place?"

"Our place," He corrected me and stood up, "I guess that's one option."

I stood up with him, "Did you tell them?" I asked him if he had told Luna and his mother that we really were a fated pair.

I asked and he nodded, "They asked and I affirmed."

"Then?" I asked as we began to walk towards the car.

"We had a fight." He sighed, "Well, I had one with Luna. Mother didn't say anything."

"What are we going to do now?" I asked.

"I think the best thing is to talk to my mom first." We reached the car and sat down, "She's the most reasonable person among all my family."

"Alright," I nodded and he called his mother. She picked up immediately and they talked for a about a minute and then Calix hung up.

He then looked at me, "We're going back to the apartment. He said, mom is still there so we'll talk to her there."

"What about your sister?" I asked in a panicked voice.

I was genuinely afraid of her after all

"Don't worry," Calix assured me, "She's not there. She went back home."

"I see," I took a breath of relief.

"But," Calix spoke further, "Since she's gone back, dad is going to hear about this anytime soon now."

I felt my soul leave my body, "Oh no..."

Calix wrapped his arms around me, "Don't worry." He said, "I'm right here."

I calmed down immediately. His pheromones, his warmth and his embrace calmed me down without a problem and I hugged him back.

We went back to the apartment as soon as we entered the lounge Mrs Bright stood up from the couch and bowed her head.

"I'm really sorry child." She apologized out of the blue

That was surprising. So much that all I could do was look at her and then at Calix

He smiled at me, "I told you she's the most reasonable one." He then looked at his mother and then back at me, "You have to say something here."

I looked at his mom and wondered.

Do I just forgive her?
