"If," I started, "If I tell you." I looked at him, "Can you promise to keep it a secret?" I looked into his eyes and he scanned mine.

"Alright." He nodded.

"Yes, " I answered as I looked down at the blanket, "I met my fated partner."

"I knew it." He sighed, "Who is it?"

"Calix, " I told him, "Calix Bright."

There was silence after that and I turned my head to look at Andre.

He was shocked.

"Calix Bright..." He closed his eyes, "That's..." He was clearly taken aback, "A unique pairing."

I chuckled, "Almost like fate made a mistake."

He sighed, "Rave,"

"Yes?"

"You ran away from him, right?" I looked at him, "I mean you work at the Bright's mansion."

I nodded

"Why? The bond between soul mates is far too powerful to run away from."

"I just," I took a deep breath, "I just want to stay away from toxic drama."

Andre got up from his seat and walked to the bed, "Toxic drama?" He sat down on the edge, "I'm going to assume you're talking about the class difference and how high society works."

"Yes," I nodded, "Very much."

"With a life time of being belittled?" I looked at him in desperation, "Andre, I don't want to be in that position because no matter how good I'll be, I'll never be enough. I know that."

He scooted a little closer, "So you're not going to give any rich guy a chance?"

"No one like the Bright's."

He sighed, "No matter how close you are to them?" He seemed upset.

"What are you trying to say?"

"Can't you give me a chance?" He asked as he placed his hand on top of mine at the side of the bed.

I wasn't expecting that.

This was way out of my expectations.

"Why are you suddenly confessing?" I got confused and was feeling weird.

"I planned to wait." He said, "I was ready to wait for a long time. But you have no idea how scared I am right now because of your fated pair."

"Andre..." He knew about my goals. Was he planning on waiting till I graduated college and got a job?

"Please Rave, think about it. My family isn't like the Bright's either. Everyone likes you here and no one will object."

"No one is against our friendship but everyone will be against a relationship." I told him.

"It's not true." He said, "Trust me." He gently squeezed my hand, "Please think about it."

This was overwhelming in a completely different sense.

I wasn't expecting a confession from Andre.

If anything, he should be in love with Noel or Mia, not me.
