"It wasn't on purpose you're getting the wrong idea." I stepped back, "Really!"

"Don't lie to me!!" She raised her hand to slap me again but I raised mine in front of me in defense.

"I'm not! We're a fated pair!" I yelled as she was about to struck me.

Her hand stopped right besides my cheek.

"What?" Luna and her mother both were shocked.

"You're a fated pair?" Luna came stomping towards me, "Do you think lying would get you out of this?" She stepped in front of her mother and kicked me in the gut.

Her leg power was so strong, I fell backward to the floor and even though she kicked my stomach and I puked out what I ate, I also felt like I couldn't breathe for a few seconds.

In the moments of weakness, I gasped for air.

Tears began to roll down my eyes and I wasn't sure what to do.

Luna came over, crouched down and grabbed my hair from the back, then pulled my head up.

"Get out." She said.

"Wait," Mrs Bright said, "What if she's telling the truth?" She wasn't sure but Luna had a temper.

She looked back at her mother with a disgusted expression, "Come on mom, Don't Tell me you believe her." She stood up, making me stand up along with her because she yanked my hair up like crazy. It hurt like hell but she was too strong for me to fight off, "You were the one who told me she might be a former maid." She then glared at me, "It's her isn't she?"

Mrs Bright nodded, "She is, but..."

"Then it's obvious she's with Calix for the money." She began to drag me out of the place, "I can't believe Calix." The way she was pulling my hair was unbearable but I didn't resist. I didn't want a kick like that again. I felt like I was going to die when I couldn't breathe, so I just let her drag me away as she bad mouthed me.

"Luna," Mrs Bright followed behind, "We should ask Calix."

"Mom, you did." She stopped right at the main door, "He ignored what you asked and then ignored your calls." She scoffed, "In fact he ignored all of us."

Mrs Bright looked at me with wavering feelings while Luna opened the door. In the final moments, I saw how unsure Mrs Bright was, but in the very end, when I was pushed out of the house, she chose to look away.

"Leave." Luna stood at the door, "If I see you again anywhere near Calix, I will kill you." I was on the floor in the hallway and I only glanced up at her once, only to see how she was looking at me.

Like I was some insect.

"..." I looked down in shame.

Nasty people.

"Stand up." She said and I did that, "Leave." Her voice was so hard and spiteful, it hurt a lot.

I walked to the elevator and entered it. I saw she slam the door shut when the elevator doors were closing.

Well damn.

This is why I never wanted to get involved with these fucking elites.

Fuck....
