"Uh well," I cleared my throat, "I actually don't know what happened..."

"Huh?!?!" Noel raised her brows at me, "Excuse me? What's that supposed to mean?"

"Um," I scratched my cheek with my index finger, "I think I was drugged..."

"What...?" My excuse came as a shock to her and she got closer to me, "Drugged??"

"Yeah..." I averted my gaze, "You already know... in parties like these some late night drugs are also prepared for special guests."

"Yeah but I'm pretty sure it wasn't an orgy party." She eyed me, "Special drugs are not for regular match making parties."

Oh shit!

"Uh- I know." I cleared my throat again, "It wasn't for the party.... Well not for the one that was going on." I looked at her, "It was a request from a guest. They wanted to use a drug on Calix ..." What the fuck am I even saying????

"Uh- Excuse me?"

"Because I just happened to see someone pouring something in the drinks. So I drank one to see what would happen..."

I laughed nervously, "I didn't think it would be this kind of a drug..."

I'm glad she bought it. This was going to get difficult otherwise.

She stood up all of a sudden, "Let's go to the hospital!"

"What?!" I panicked, "Why?!"

She grabbed my wrist, "We have to see how much of it got into your system!" She pulled me out of the bed and I began to panic again.

"Wait. wait. wait!!" I forced her to stop, "I'll go to the hospital but not now."

"Why not now?" She huffed.

"I have to go back to work."

"Excuse me." She folded her arms as she glared at me, "You got 'drugged' there, 'at work'."

"Yeah I know. I'm going to go and resign and tell the head what really happened. She has to know about all the ruckus and maybe she'll take action and find out who the perpetrator was too."

I had no idea I could lie so smoothly.

"Right..." She nodded, "That makes sense... Do you want me to come with you?"

I shook my head, "I'll be fine."

"Okay. But you still have to go to the hospital."

"Alright." I smiled at her, "I'll be sure to do that."

I took a deep breath and entered the mansion to go and talk with the head maid.

I know I caused quite a scene here last night but it wasn't really my fault.

I know that when soul mates meet the heat an omega excretes is mind blowing no matter how recessive the omega is. It's the natural desire of the body to mate but how was I supposed to know Calix would be my fated partner?

To begin with meeting with a fated pair is a suuuppppeeer rare thing.

I made my way to the servants quarter and asked for the head maid but I was told that she went to the main mansion and so I started walking towards there.

How will I explain what happened?

Telling anyone that it's because of my fated pair would make everyone laugh at me.

Forget Calix... Even if I name someone else I would become a laughing stock since all the people who attended the party were from high society.

I guess I'll just take responsibility and resign like a responsible person.

I made it to the main mansion where I saw the head maid in the lounge.

I ran up to her and apologized for what had happened the day before.

"So? Are you going to resign?" She asked.

"Yes... I'm sorry I caused such a scene.... I had no idea my heat would come at an irregular time like this..."

"It's quite weird." She said, "I thought you were a recessive omega. So why?"

I knew what she was asking and I was expecting the question.

"I actually tried some weird drug."

"weird drug?"

"It was supposed to help with my heat but I think it back fired."

"Trying something sketchy like this is a well enough reason to fire you. You know that right?" I nodded. It says that in the contract that we can't do something that would lead to situation like last night, "But since you're owing up to your mistake I'll let it slide."

"Work for today. We're short on staff." She said, "And at the end of the day get your pay when you hand be the resignation letter."

"Ah! Yes ..." I looked around , "But isn't the family around?" I really didn't want to bump into any of them, especially Calix at that.

"No. All four of them went to work." She told me.

Oh Thank God!!!

I relaxed a little after hearing that.

"What do I need to do?" I asked.

"Get the laundry from all the used room."

"Okay!" I turned around and began to work forgetting the fact that one of the rooms in use now also belonged to Calix.

It probably didn't cross my mind since he just came back to live here.

It was when I went in his room did I realize where I really was.

His alluring scent was in the air. He wasn't in the room but his strong Dom Alpha pheromones were swarming around the place and it was making me dizzy.

"Oh damn..." I gulped as I felt a little hot, "I better hurry."

I ran towards the bathroom to get his clothes from the laundry basket but that made the situation worse.

I couldn't resist the urge to grab his shirt which had the most of his scent and bring it up to my nose and take a long whiff from it.

"Oh My God..." I felt my body tingle as logical sense began to leave me, "I want something more..." My mind starting having dirty thoughts as my body's desire to release started surfacing again.
