His Little Secret

Sushi had no clue what to say. She stayed silent, looking at June. But June wasn't going to drop the matter, and she knew she had to respond.

"I know her," she finally replied.

June pulled the car over, deep confusion washing over him in those few seconds.

"How?" he asked.

"Chloe told me about her," she replied.

"So you're saying you've never seen her yourself? You only heard it from Chloe." he asked again, his gaze intense.

"I don't know her personally. But Chloe used to tell me about her, how you both used to come here. I think she mistook me for Chloe and called me Sushi," she explained.

"But it's not a mistake, right? You are Sushi. If she remembered us going to the store, she should be calling you Chloe, but she called you by your name. Don't you find that strange?" June inquired, sensing her answers were not entirely honest.

"Yeah, I was shocked too, June. Maybe Chloe mentioned me to her. And she's old, she could be confused. But it's not a big deal. Let's just drop it," Sushi said, trying to cover up.

June realized she wasn't telling the truth and was hiding something from him again. But he didn't want to push her further. He slowly started the car again.

"Can you take me to the office. I have little work pending before we leave", Sushi wanted to divert the topic.

"No, you hurt yourself. We will go home. I will tell to Nivi, she will take care of it.", June said strictly.

"June please, just only for sometime", Sushi almost begged.

"Okay, only an hour", he demanded.

"Sure, fine", she agrredd with smile.

Upon entering the office, Huan quickly grabbed Sushi's hand, ignoring June, who was helping her walk.

She nearly stepped on her injured leg. June instinctively glared at Huan and shouted, "Watch out, she's hurt!"

Huan, startled by June's fierce look, immediately released Sushi and said, "Sorry, Sushi, I didn't realize. I just wanted to talk about something, so..."

"What do you want to talk about?" June demanded angrily while holding onto Sushi.

Huan remained silent. Seeing the tension, Nivi stepped in and said, "I think he's more curious about your honeymoon than you guys are."

"Why don't you just stop talking?" Huan snapped at her.

"Huan," Sushi interjected to prevent further argument. She turned to June, "Could you give us some time?" But June seemed reluctant to move, staring daggers at Huan.

Sushi gently removed June's hand from her shoulder. "I won't take long, please," she said, making a pleading face.

June nodded reluctantly and walked away with Nivi.

"Is it true?" Huan asked urgently once they were alone.

"What?" Sushi asked, confused.

"Are you guys going somewhere?" Huan asked, hesitating.

"Did Nivi tell you?" she asked, shocked at how fast the news had spread.

"That's not important now. Is it true?" he pressed, curiosity evident in his voice.

"Yeah, my parents and Chloe planned it. I couldn't deny it since they didn't ask for my opinion," she replied, sighing.

"Where are you guys going?" he asked.

"I don't know. Chloe planned everything. She said something, but I didn't pay much attention," she answered.

"So when are you coming back?" he asked again.

"Not sure," she replied.

"So did you tell him about the pregnancy?" he asked.

"No, not yet. I'm planning to tell him in the trip. But before that, I need to confirm something with him," Sushi said, deep in thought.

"What is it?" Huan asked.

"It's nothing. I'll tell you later," she replied, avoiding his question.

"What are you guys gossiping about here?" Nivi stepped into the conversation, interrupting their discussion.

"It's none of your business," Huan replied curtly.

"As long as you're gossiping in the office, it is my business, Huan," Nivi shot back with a bossy look.

She then turned to Sushi. "Sushi, can I have a word with you privately?"

Still upset with Nivi about the incident at the hotel, Sushi ignored her and tried to walk away. But Nivi gently held her hand, pleading, "Sushi, please. I really need to talk to you."

Before Sushi could respond, Huan intervened, grabbing Nivi's hand. "Let her go. Don't start your little games with her. I won't stand for it," he said harshly.

Sushi turned back, freeing Nivi's hand. "Tell me, what is it you want to say?"

Nivi looked at Huan and asked, "Can you give us five minutes alone?"

Huan refused to leave, unwilling to leave Sushi alone with Nivi.

"Huan, it's okay. You go first. I'll listen to what she has to say," Sushi reassured him. Reluctantly, Huan nodded and left them alone.

"Now tell me, Nivi. It's just us here," Sushi demanded.

"Sushi, I know you're mad at me, but you misunderstood the conversation between me and June," Nivi said softly.

"Which part did I misunderstand? You hit Huan to be with June, and he intended to spend the night with you but mistakenly ended up with me, thinking I was my sister," Sushi yelled.

"Sushi, calm down, please. Let me explain.

June isn't like that. Don't misunderstand me and June. We're just friends, nothing more. I was trying to help you.

I saw you there with Huan, and I wanted to create an opportunity for you and June. That's why I hit Huan and made space for you both," Nivi tried to explain.

"Do you expect me to believe that? Why did you suddenly turn nice and start helping? And you even got him drunk just to spend time with him. I knew your intentions. I heard you talking on the phone in the restroom," Sushi confronted her.

"No, Sushi, there was no one on the call. I made it up. I wanted to stir things up so you'd come to June. But it wasn't me who got June drunk. By the time I got back from the restroom, he was already drunk," Nivi explained.

"You expect me to believe this?" Sushi questioned angrily, trying to leave.

Nivi, desperate to convince her, shouted, "June can't sleep with other women except you!"
