Disaster

Luke's POV

Ace told me his dad set him up with dates. I understand uncle's concern about Ace's sexuality. Every parent just wants to see grandbabies before they kick the bucket.

"Ace... This friend of yours... I think I've seen her before." I told him when he showed me a picture of his date. "Decent lady. A little bit too proper though. But you might be good for each other since she looks mellow and you're..."

Ace is not gay but with a feminine face and a job that involves women 24/7 as lingerie designer, people tend to judge. He's as wild as the models he works with. Practically considered as one of the girls.

He better cut off his manhood himself before I get to him for this though! I looked at his supposed date sitting in front of me.

"Are you actually an Ace and not Luke maybe?" She joked.

"No. Sorry... your date ditched and set me up with you instead." I sighed.

We sat in awkward silence for a few seconds.

"I'm Sky. We met at a party a couple of days ago. Do you

still remember me?"

As the man, I had to be accommodating and not make her feel bad for what happened.

"How can I forget such a charming face? If you don't mind dining with me instead, why don't we get to know each other better?" I offered and took a glance at the menu.

She smiled. "Sure"

We ate in comfortable silence for most part, only exchanging some commentaries on the food.

The night would have ended peacefully if only we never ordered dessert.

Tea and pastries has never been more disastrous.

When the tea spilled on her, I had expected her graceful demeanor to crack a little and a little bit of temper to flare. I know I would be venting my temper on the poor waiter.

Instead, I find myself a little worried about her complete silence. Because of this, I found myself scolding the waiter on her behalf.

The manager came and bowed alongside the waiter.

"My deepest apologies, Sir, Madame, let your meal be on the house. Miss, allow us to lead you to the backroom so that you may change clothes. We will handle everything." The manager was efficient. As he spoke, he signalled that the stupid waiter clean up the mess.

Due to this efficiency, people

soon lost interest in watching us.

It was then I realized why Sky was silent. I thought the slight shake in her shoulders was because she was holding her anger back. But it seems that she was crying?
