The Flashback

"Oh it's you, that was really you Monique." "Oh my it was actually you Blake." The two was astonished seeing each other. For it has been 10 years since then, they see each other. "Monique asked, "what are you doing here?, ahmm actually why I am here?" The two laughed. 

Monique and Blake became a teen sweetheart at their town in San Ilana. Their romance started in the garage, Blake family's garage. Blake saw Monique crying outside their house near the garage. "If you won't tell me why you are crying then I would scream for help for there is a stranger in our yard," Blake said with laughter. "Oh no pleas no, he would hear you and get me and ...," Monique said. Blake replied, "and then what little girl?" "I am not a little girl!, Monique replied with an angry voice. Blake's laughing stop. "Ok I think you are hiding from something, then come inside," Blake's convincing voice. Monique in shocked, "Wait what!, inside, inside your house?!" Blake said, "not of course!"

"Monique, my little girl come to papi now, where are you? you ho.." said an old man. "Shit, that was him...let's go inside," said Monique. Then the two get inside the garage. 

"I am Monique by the way and you are?" Blake replied, "I am Blake Liston." Then the two had conversation until night. Not minding that Monique's stepfather still looking for her. Monique was so open about her life, that they just moved in and they are from San Fansisco. Deleon was his stepfather because his father died in a car accident when she was still in her mother's belly. His father left them with nothing because his father's grandparents took all the money and the house. Her mother was a nurse and she met Deleon at the hospital when he was a patient. Her mother got no choice at that time but to accept the offer of Deleon. Deleon was a retired businessman and super rich. He's an old man but able to provide them with everything from house, food, car and even luxurious things. Shared Monique, Deleon was his best friend before and was his father figure, really treat him as a father. But turn everything not right when her mother passed away last year of cancer. When she turn 14 last year, Deleon offered her to be his future wife. He said he's still under age, so he is willing to wait. This made Monique so mad, that she would do anything to upset him but the old man was so patient enough even sending her to a top school.

"Oh it's getting late, I should go now, the oldies seems sleeping now," Monique said. "Okay Mon but just call me whenever," says Blake. "Mon? it seems like am a boyish girl...just Monique please...that's what my mother called me and not little girl definitely not Mon." Blake said, "its Mon, I am not your mother." 

Monique and Blake get along so well and every time something is wrong, they would go to the garage and just talk, eat, drink and smoke. Blake that time didn't even share about his life, he just found fond listening to Mon. 

Until one day, Blake just arrived from school and his father was about to leave with all things packed. His mother was crying begging his father not to leave. "He is your son, please don't leave us," his mom said while crying. Blake cannot contain seeing his mother like that and said to his father, "come on dad, is that how you become top of your job, constantly hurting mom and now leave us?!, well you deserve also the award of being a great father huh!." "You know nothing bastard!" said his dad and punched his face then leave. His nose was bleeding and Mon rushed to his aid. "You said nothing, anything huh but now, you're worst than me," Monique utter.

After that incident, they haven't talk for awhile and Monique didn't even dare go to the garage. Until on Blake's 17th birthday. His mother invited Monique, seeing her rushed to Blake when his face was bleeding, she assumed they are good friends. For that time also, Monique's stepfather was on a trip to Singapore for business matter. They had a quite talk while preparing a dinner for Blake's birthday and had fun. Until Blake finally arrived and just wanted to go straight to bedroom. For he didn't want to celebrate his birthday for ever since, his father didn't even wanted to. Even says hurtful words that he should've never been born. But he hears her mother talking with another while in the kitchen laughing. That was the first time he hears his mother laugh and kinda like the feeling so he rushed to the kitchen. both woman says, "happy birthday," he was stunned seeing her mother smile for the first time and most there's Mon. Mon said, "hey i bought you a gift, where have you been lately?." They just laughed then eat dinner. After awhile, while his mother was busy fetching in the kitchen, the two talked again while drinking wine. They had a good talk then Mon said, "happy birthday I had to go." Suddenly, Blake grab her hand and said, "please stay," and so Mons stayed. Until it was getting late, Blake offered to go with her to her house for safety, since they were just neighbors. Mon said, "goodnight Blay, it was nice to see you," she called him Blay for short. Then Blake said, "I've missed you," and grab her and kiss her on the lips.
