2: This Body Is Awesome

A bright flash happens before James and he loses consciousness.

"Ah shi-"

James awakens to the sound of birds chirping and the swaying of trees, "Well it's either night time or I'm super deep in this forest cause it's really dark here."

"I guess I should get situated with my new body", James looks at himself and he's a lot bigger than he thought he'd be compared to what he saw on video games, James' Lizardman body is 7ft 9in tall with a very stout/built body weighing at 310lbs covered in scales with powerful jaws and razor-sharp teeth, he also has claws as sharp as razors along with a long tail, his scales are black in color with a blue zig zagging stripes down his body as of he has lighting running throughout him.

"I really wasn't expecting this at all, I expected to be pretty average in height and weight if not smaller so why the hell am I so big?"

"Also what's with my scales and these lightning things all over me? Did my name have some impact on how my body would look or something?

"This shit is weird."

-------------------------------------------------------------------"Holy shit my stats are jacked right now! Normally in games and stuff you barely have any stat points and you allocate them to what you want and even then you wouldn't be this strong right off the bat!"

[As you are a monster race you are naturally stronger at birth and are thus stronger than other creatures, plus Lizardfolk are hardy powerful creatures that most of the Humanoid races fear especially since most Lizardfolk are hostile to other races that enter their territory with extreme prejudice]

"That makes them a decent bit different than the ones I know from games which were usually more of a neutral race and were decently strong, but not this strong or vicious in nature except for a few more evil tribes but I did already kind of expect this based on being considered monsters."

"Also just refer to lizardfolk as lizardmen from now on System, just so it sounds less formal all the time."

"Alright now to test out this new body."

James spent the next 15 minutes testing out his body by running around punching trees and seeing how high he could jump then he realized the three biggest aspects of his new body, he has sharp teeth and claws as well as a long tail and he should be testing those as well.

James walked over to a large oak tree that's about 30 inches across and tried to cut the tree with his claws as best he could and to this surprise he actually cut 5 inches straight into the tree leaving a deep gash across the trunk and the only pain he felt was a tiny dull ache like if he had flicked something a little hard.

"That's awesome I wonder how well these would work on an animal if I ran into one."

As he says those words he hears a bush on the other side of the area he's in about 25 feet away and sees a wolf come out blood dripping from it's mouth with a shortsword in it's back obviously wounded and what looks to be a large goblin in it's mouth.

James notices a few things about this wolf that are different than a normal wolf. For one it's larger standing at 5ft 3in with long black fur and glowing red eyes.

"I could already guess that since I doubt I could outrun it, plus that thing's huge for what it is. Also why wouldn't I take this chance to fight when it's wounded and see how strong I really am!"

James rushes at the black wolf with a murderous look in his eyes. The wolf is angry that this lizard dares interrupt his meal and even more so for thinking the lizard thinking it could kill it even if it did get wounded against a group of stupid goblins.

The wolf rushes towards James and just as James swings his right arm towards the wolf to cut it's neck the wolf dodges to his left and jumps towards his neck in turn to end this quickly.

*BAM*

The wolf is thrown to the ground shocked and even angrier as to what just happened. Just before the wolf could bite into James' neck he was smacked in the head and thrown to the ground 20 ft away by James' tail which cracked it's skull upon impact.

"Damn that was close I'm glad my body moved on it's own or I might have just taken a lethal hit", James thought.

James was cautious now the wolf is even faster and smarter than he thought and it went right for the kill. Now he's truly ready to end this wolf with all he has.

James realizes something he's failed to take into account till now, "He has a damn sword in his back why don't I push it further into his body if I get a chance plus even if that only half works it's a good chance to pin him down and kill it", he screams these things to himself inside.

While James has those thought the black wolf gets up from the ground and is watching James carefully for this next move. He doesn't wanna take another strike like that to the head or he'll be done for.

James charges towards the wolf and makes a guttural roar as a battle cry.

*ROAAR*

The wolf does gets a little startled and hesitates for a second which was just enough time for James to close the distance, and just as the wolf comes to and tries to lunge at James' left leg to slow him down James dodges to the right barely avoiding the wolf's jaws he punches the sword in the wolf's back with all his might and he got way more than he expected out of this move upon impact the sword shot down through the wolf's back shattering ribs and cutting through flesh and organs and the tip of the short sword comes out the wolf's stomach and the wolf crumbles under the force of the blow and with a loud yelp hits the ground and nearly died immediately.

"HOLY SHIT!!"

James is startled by the sheer force of the blow and stops moving entirely for a few seconds. Luckily the wolf can barely move at all and is barely alive still or James would be in danger.

James comes back to reality and to make sure the wolf dies he grabs it by the neck picking it up.

"Just die already", James says without a shred of remorse as he slams it's head into the ground killing it upon impact.

[To add progress to your evolution towards stronger beings you must kill and eat a certain amount of the killed creature to get evolution points and progress for evolutions with said creatures. Doing so may result in obtaining traits or aspects of those beings.]

[Also once you've killed a creature the System will learn it's race and abilities and will be able to examine others of the same species even when outside of combat.]
