2 1: My Starter Race?

James begins to stir and wake up to this unfamiliar voice.
"What the fuck?", James is startled to see a screen in front of him and even more so that he doesn't have a body.
"Where the hell am I, and isn't this like a videogame or something?
Just as James asked himself this the system spoke.
[ You are currently being taken to a new world thanks to my creator he has given you a second run at life upon a new world, I am the evolution system which has been given specifically to guide you to survive in said new world. ]
Before James can even respond the system gives him a prompt.
[ Master please choose your starting race from the list below. ]

"Whatever I'll figure it out later all I know is I can't change what happened and this is my chance to live so I'm damn well gonna take it!!"
"There's a lot of choices, but most of them seem very general and bare bones of what they are plus a couple I don't even know what they are like the Intellect Devourer."
James was unsure what to do since it's his new beginning and needs to be smart otherwise what he chooses could be useless.
"I'm just gonna eliminate the beasts entirely since I wouldn't be able to use anything other than my own body and if I were to try and talk to people they probably wouldn't understand me and try to kill me on sight."
After saying that the system removed the beast category from the list, James was a bit surprised the system responded so quickly, but appreciated the ease of use it brought.
"No point in not asking, System after choosing my race do I get options on what specific creature among that race or do I get stuck being a generic creature?"
The system chimed and responded.
[After choosing your race you will be given options depending on the race you have chosen if options are available, but some races will not have options otherwise you'd have a massive advantage from the start which our creator is against.]
James was a little upset, "Well shit, that was only kinda helpful but it also means even more so I gotta be careful with what I choose..."
"System eliminate the Demon category, Intellect Devourer, and the Slime race", the system removed them without a sound now only 5 choices remains among the monster races.

-------------------------------------------------------------------James was thinking hard about his choices and he knew only a little about these creatures he only knew a little from the videogames he remembers.
"Gnolls are like weird and ugly hyena like beings that start out small but can get a lot bigger but at least in games never really amount to much without their pack and are kinda stupid"
"I remember goblins are green, ugly, short, and are generally weak at the start, but depending on the world also one of the scarier creatures because of the things they do to people if they're evil especially women and they're cunning tricky beings when they want to be."
"Next kobolds are generally brown and kinda look like scrawny little lizards they're similar to goblins in stature and the way they live, but the two races hate one another and I don't think kobolds are as evil in nature as goblins are."
"Lizardfolk or commonly referred to as lizardmen which are generally human sized bipedal lizard people that are relatively smart and are good fighters both on land and in water, but these can all vary greatly depending on the specific tribe or race of lizardmen. Since they're in the category of monsters I'm guessing they're dominantly savages who don't cooperate with humanoid races in this world."
"Lastly the Skeleton or just in general I guess the undead...skeletons may not die of age or disease but like...they're already dead and in games usually really brittle and weak to blunt damage and holy damage till higher forms like the death knight or a lich"
After going over all these things and thinking carefully even if it was kind of an easy choice James made his decision.
"System I choose Lizardfolk as my starter race."
[DING!!]
[You have chosen Lizardfolk as your starter race, would you like to choose a different name for yourself?]
James wasn't to surprised by this since in videogames you got to choose your own name and since he doesn't even remember his last name he decided to give himself one, "My new name will be James Stormblood!"
