1 Ch 1: Death Once again

"How dare you…. HOW DARE YOU GET IN MY WAY whe-when the victory was already in the palm of my hands."

On a bloodied, red, and cadaver clogged battlefield, myriad of demons, humans, elves, and many other races lay dead.

So many have died on both sides that one can see a mound of dead from afar, a sight capable of haunting one at night.

One still alive was the demon lord leading the army of demons to invade this world and the God that finally took part to stop him.

A piss-off demon lord with these godly chains deeply cutting tightly all over the body spilling blood from the broken skin. Four Pillars summoned impaled into the ground each at their own distances to have these chains able to catch their target.

The condition of this demon lord's body looks to be in a horrible state with so many wounds to be seen and one horn showing it has been slash off by a powerful weapon.

"This world wasn't going to be yours anyway. Xalroz, after you killed the heroes, we would not allow a monster like yourself to go on any further with your conquest."

One of the gods speaks to this demon giving him an answer that he wasn't going to like.

Xalroz laughed weakly, being tired from the battle wounds received, He slowly brought his head up to look at the sky, speaking further.

"That's funny. You gods stood up in your heaven watching as I caused my chaos and destruction upon this world. You send these heroes of those picked by you to stop me repeatedly, I have failed time and time again. Yet the result this time I was the one to succeed."

"A victory is something like you were lucky to gain, unfortunately, but that would be fixed. You will die this day, and your existence will be no more; we are to make sure of that as this endless war can no longer keep on going, repeating non-stop. A end has to come for the innocent of this world to be in peace from your tranny Xalroz."

"Oh really then I must make sure that doesn't happen and that you all suffer as I and she had suffered. In her name, I made a vow that I swear to do everything and anything to tear down your heavens."

Demon lord Xalroz starts to bring out a hidden power within to fill his body in power that helps to break the godly chains on him easily and to bring about a healing to make the body feel and look as new like it has never been touched by this battlefield.

A power created with such darkness and hatred over time that these gods have known about since the beginning yet this is the first time they have come to feel it. Such a feeling makes their hearts filled with fear and despair thanks to the monster they all are looking at.

"This battle is not over till I am the only one standing! And all of you are dead beneath my feet where the heavens cry in bloody tears."

Far off north lays a big settlement of northern people living on those lands covered by the show of the winter that comes down hard this season.

"Ahhhhhh!."

The sound of a young boy crying awake from a nightmare he was just having in his sleep haunting him.

After taking a deep breath to realize where he is taking note of being in a room used to sleep in.

"Brother are you alright."

Another young boy in the same room awakens from that one cry on his bed just across from him.

Looking at him with concern filled with worry.

"I… I don't know…. I had a weird dream or… some nightmare about a field with bodies and people talking."

"Whatever it was just work me up as well you damn Drow elf."

Another much older boy says having as well been awakened and not much pleased by it either.

"Brother! Don't you call him that, he is not one of us or even our brother?"

"And I for one didn't agree that only you, mother, and father accepted him when brought to our family. Should have just kept you as our slave or given you away to another."

The older boy's words were so harsh that the Drow boy felt it to where a single tear was coming down from the side.

"Shut up don't…."

At the time the sound of the door opens a female figure enters the room holding a lamp that shines light into the room. Causing the boy's inside to be in little pain from their eyes being attacked by it.

"Arfast, Thorkell, and Sigehelm my son, what was that yelling?"

A mature woman with deep-burning red hair and blue eyes enters the room worried about the boys.

"Thorkell had a nightmare mother and Sigehelm was being mean to him saying he is not our brother and should have been a slave instead."

"Oh you little shit, I'm going to…."

Before Sigehelm could finish that sentence, he was hit on the back of his head by the woman.

"Sigehelm! How could you say such things about Thorkell?"

"Mother he is not one of us, he is a Drow elf belonging to those long ears kind rather than here. Also, the name you and father gave him shouldn't be his name that belongs to our brother who died."

"That's enough of that, he has been since the day that boy came to us and I will hear nothing of this you hear me, young man."

The older boy said nothing back and just went back to laying completely on his bed not wanting to get into an argument with his mother.

She saw that and sighs there was no point in saying anything further to this boy knowing he will not listen to what she has to say.

Instead, the woman turns to the small boys walking up to Thorkell who require a mother's love to help make this Drow elf child feel better.

Going down to be at eye level with him, she placed a hand on the side of his face where the tears fell on.

"Thorkell paid no mind to Sigehelm's words, he would need time to warm up to you dear."

"Yet he is right, I am not one of you to look at my skin, hair, and eyes mother."

Thorkell skin had the color of light Violate, the eyes to be rose-hued, and the hair sliver.

Compared to Arfast and Sigehelm both have the same red hair as their mother and their eyes are brown from the father.

"Those do not matter nor the blood of my son. It is by the bonds we share which is important that what makes us family."

"Bonds could be powerful."

"That right and don't you forget, now how about, I sing to you to help go back to sleep and to no more have a nightmare."

"That would be a nice mother."

The woman was happy to hear that and did not forget about her other boy.

"Arfast come lay in this bed, so I can to you as well."

"Alright, mother."

The boy jumps out of his bed and soon enters his adopted brother's Drow laying together.

She made sure that the blanket covered these two well and then sat down at the end of the bed brushing their hair and going between them.

Humming for just a few seconds till opening her mouth to let out the lovely voice that sings to the two small boys.
