TRAPPING HER WITH QUESTIONS

The next morning, while Eli sliced the vegetables, Belle was cooking. The two of them were working together in cooking their meal and Neon was in the living room, watching an anime show. In the past, he could only watch television if his sister was around, otherwise, he'd have to stay inside his room to avoid Emilia Berkins. 

'Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong!' 

Eli's ears perked up and he peeked at Neon in the living room. "Neon, can you check the monitor and see who's outside?" 

"Got it!" Neon jumped down from the couch and ran to the monitor which was just beside the door. Eli recently installed it for Neon to check the visitors outside before opening the door since he could not reach the peephole. It has a long range with a clear view. "Eli, there are police outside the gate. Uh, they seemed to be police officers."
