Jodi frowned and started shaking her head. "I haven't heard anything from her. Honestly, I wasn't able to use my phone when I was in Dubai because Prince was very strict when it comes to internet consumption. You know what I mean? He always grumbles that I do nothing but waste money on our internet. Anyway, why are you asking? Did she leave?" 

"Oh, no. It's not that. I just wanted to ask if you ever heard anything related to her. Like child abuse or something." 

"Child abuse?" Jodi burst out laughing because she couldn't believe the words coming from Belle's mouth. "How could that be possible? Emilia was the gentlest soul I know. If I have to be honest, she has more patience when it comes to children." 

Seeing the discomfort reflecting on her face, Eli pretended to check his wristwatch and stood up. "Ma'am, is it fine if you continue this conversation with Belle some other time? We're about to start our shift today."
