TEARS SHOULDN'T BE WASTED ON PEOPLE WHO NEVER CARE

"Eli, here's your coffee," Ceres placed the hot coffee on his table with that jovial mood lacing her voice. "Can I go out for a moment? You don't have any appointments, right?"

"Not until lunch. That's about fifteen minutes."

"Great. I'll just talk to Karis."

"Who's that? A relative?"

"Nope. She's a friend I met when you told me to bring the documents to Dr. Larry."

"I see," Eli smiled faintly while nodding her head. "You may go but make sure to return for lunch."

"Got it."

Eli didn't say anything but he was genuinely happy for the woman. He wasn't really acquainted with Karis Miguel but he heard a lot of rumors about her and Dr. Larry. He didn't want to judge their relationship but he really pitied her during the times that he saw her in tears which she would wipe in silence.

Hearing that Belle has become friends with her, he could only hope that the woman would feel less pressure from the people around her.
