Eli checked his appointments and found that his next patient was scheduled to come in twenty minutes. Without wasting another moment, he held Belle's right hand and accompanied her to the next floor where the orthopedic doctors can be seen.

He saw a lot of patients waiting in line and for the first time in his life, he wanted to use his connection to cut in.

"I'll wait. Don't worry," Belle expressed before he could do something that would jeopardize his reputation as a doctor. "Can you help me fill up the form instead while I wait here?"

"Got it. Tell the doctor to ring me up if they need something else."

Belle nodded her head and with that, Eli left as soon as he could since he got work to do. He kept looking back at Belle who sat on the bench along with the other customers and his heart ached in guilt. He should be the one suffering in pain right now, not her.
