With an almost dead heart that felt nothing but hatred and pain, Xhylan continued to serve the Raptors. He completed the assignments that he got and made the city mayor believe that he was still loyal to him. Slowly, he gathered those people who wanted to leave the organization. He didn't have complete trust in them, but he thought having them was better than doing everything on his own. 

Every time he had to leave the country for a mission, someone would be keeping tabs on the mayor's activities and report them to him. He never missed a day in receiving the report of the mayor's schedules and not long after, he was able to find a pattern. 

It took him a month to complete three different plans in case one failed to work. At the same time, being the leader of the Raptors, the city mayor knew what kind of assassins his people were. Because of that, he was very careful with everything he eats and drank or even when touching things.
