Renace knew an undead even as powerful as the Corrupted Cavalier would never be able to withstand the light of day. But he had already prepared for this possibility.

Snapping his fingers, Renace summoned a black card in his hand. It had the image of a fading yellow halo in the middle surrounded by blurry red glyphs, which flashed intermittently as the faint rays of the rising sun illuminated the darkness.

A devious smile flashed on Renace's face as he flicked the card in the air. "Play card: Timeless Eclipse!"

The corrupted spell bound to the card darkened the skies as an unnatural shadow blotted the sun. Florentia and its surrounding provinces were plunged in darkness as night snuffed out the faint light of day.

This eclipse reminded Xander of the eclipse in Olarva, and he realized Renace had been a part of this circus for a long time. "You are the one who caused that eclipse two days ago. But why?"
