CHAPTER 8

JAX's POV

Birthday ni Raighn ngayon kaya nag-ayos na ako sinuot ko yung red coat ko and it's look good to me. At kinuha ko agad ang Teddy bear na regalo ko sa kanya. It was human size blue teddy bear may pocket yun na pwede i-lock nasa loob noon may necklace na ang design ay pakpak ng anghel.

Kinuha ko na yung susi ng sasakyan ko at nagmaneho na ako patungo sa Maxwell Hotel. Hinintay ko muna yung hudyat at ng maka-upo na ang mga bisita bago ako naglakad patungo kay Raighn.

Noong naglalakad na kahit na malayo ako halatang gulat si Raighn sa nakita nya ako na nagalalakad sa aisle. Nang makarating na ako sa pwesto ni Raighn ay-----

"Happy Birthday Rai, this is for you." sambit ko na may ngiti sa labi.

At si Raighn naman ay

"T-Thank y-you Jax" nauutal nitong sabi alam ko ang dahilan kung bakit dahil isa lang naman ito sa wishes niya.

And before I got chance to say anything ay lumapit si Tito Adam samin, at di na ako nagulat sa paglapit niya dahil planado ito ay sinabi na ni Tito Adam na----

"Jax since nandito kana ikaw na ang escort ni Raighn." nakangiting sabi ni Tito sa akin halata naman na nagtataka si Raighn sa nangyayari HAHAHAHAH.

"Of course Tito,its my pleasure." sagot ko naman ng may matamis na ngiti.

Nakatingin lang si Raighn kay Tito habang palayo. Kaya binasag ko ang katahimikan kaya nagsalita na ako.

"Raighn ,nagustuhan mo ba yung Teddy Bear?" tanong ko kay Raighn.

"Of course, I like it. No actually I love it. I appreciate it,thank you." natuwa naman ako sa narinig ko mula sa kanya na nagustuhan nya ang regalo ko. And then sinabi kona--

"Actually, I choose this bear as a gift kasi para naman may remembrance ka ng birthday mo at may masasabi ka talagang regalo na napunta sayo.I know naman na most of the gift will go to your family's chosen charities. So yeah, and I know it will make you happy." sabi ko sa kanya well totoo namang gusto ko sya mapasaya pero mas magiging masaya ito lalo pag nakita nito ang nakatagong necklace sa pocket. Hindi ko na muna sinabi I want to surprise her.

Tapos bigla siyang nag salita HAHAHAHH

"You know what,it really made me happy.Thank you so much for this.I will really take care of it." sabi nito sa akin at sabay ngiti argh those smiles makes me weak. Nanatili lang akong tahimik at nakikinig sa kanya ng mabuti habang nag k-kwento.

"Alam mo akala ko noon ,masungit at antipatiko ka .Remember yung nangyari sa canteen? Yun kaya akala ko talaga ma attitude ka." kwento nito sa akin.

"Yung sa canteen? nako sorry, wala lang ako sa mood nun.You know what,yung polo na natapunan ng juice,di ko pinalabhan.I just hide it as a remembrance."sagot ko jusko namumula ako at nahihiya lupa kainin mo na ako itong anghel na nasa harapan ko ang kahinaan ko.

Tapos nag start na tumugtog ang music so I ask her to dance.

When we reached the dance floor, I hold her in her waist and she put her hands on my shoulders.We just sway our bodies with the music.Sobrang lapit namin sa isa't isa.

But lean more closer to her and whisper ---

"After the party,I will talk to Tito Adam ,magpapaalam ako." at doon bigla natapos ang music.Inalalayan ko pabalik sa stage hanggang sa makaupo ito.

Tama kayo ng nabasa magpapaalam ako kat Tito Adam. Magpapaalam ako na ligawan si Raighn I made up my mind itutuloy ko na ang panliligaw ko. At mag-uumpisa na ako bukas.

Time passes, at natapos ang party. Nagsisimula ng magsiuwian ang mga bisita. May mga lumalapit Raighn para magpaalam at ang iba naman ay kila tito .

I was with Raighn nang lumapit si JL , her friend, together with her boyfriend Troy na sa pagkakaalam ko ay pinsan ni Raighn.

"Hi Jax, i didn't expect you to be here"bati sakin ni JL.

"JL, don't say that parang ayaw mo naman na nandito si Jax." suway ng boyfriend nito.

"No, of course babe. I was just shock.Actually I'm happy that you're here. Nagka escort ng gwapo ang bessy ko" she said and giggled.

Tiningnan ko naman si Raighn sa tabi ko at napansin kong namumula siya. Such a cute act, I like it.

"Btw, happy birthday princess. We hope nag enjoy tonight." sabi ni Troy.

"Of course nagenjoy ako Troy. Thank you sainyo." She said and smiled at us.

"Syempre enjoy yan, gwapo ng escort eh" panunukso na naman si JL na ikinatawa naman namin.Nagkwentuhan pa kaming apat before the lovers bid their goodbye to us.May dadaanan pa daw kasi sila bago umuwi.Kaya naman pagalis nila kami nalang dalawa ang naiwan,busy pa din sila tito adam with the guest.

"Ahm.Jax." tawag ni Raighn sakin.

"Bakit?" tanong ko naman.

"Ano ung sinabi mo kanina na ipagpa--"di natapos ni Raighn ang sasabihin niya dahil lumapit samin sila Tito at Tita.

"Iho, I'm happy na nakapunta ka." sabi ni Tita Rhea sakin .

"Of course Tita, it's Raighn's birthday di ko po ito palalagpasin." I said with a smile in my face.

"How sweet of you iho,i like that."

"Oo nga pala Jax, sabi mo sakin may sasabihin ka ngayon,What is it?"si tito adam nman ang nagsalita.

"About that tito"i take a deep breath and calm myself. Im a little nervous."I just want to take this chance to tell you that I want to court your daughter." I said it without releasing my breath. Im nervous bigtime.

I look at Raighn after I said those words.She look extremely shock while her eyes was locked at me.

I heard tita giggled ,and that caught my attention.

"Jax,you know how strict we are when it comes to our princess,right?" tito Adam said.

"Of course Tito I know that, maybe I can't promise that she won't cry but I will surely do my best not to hurt her." I said with all my heart in it.

"Dad,Mom"tawag ni Raighn sakanila.

"Yes baby?"sabi ni tita.

"Maybe ,we can give Jax a chance?"she said without looking at us.

"Are you sure Raighn?You know that we only want for you is the best "

"I know dad.I want to give Jax a chance to prove himself.Di ko naman po sinabi na magboboyfriend na ko.Ligaw palang naman po."sagot ni Raighn kay tito.And that made tito take a deep breathe while tita is just simple smilling at the three of us.

"Our Princess made her decision,but Jax I want to make things clear.Know your limitations,ok?"sabi ni tito na may tonong pagbabanta.

"Hey hon, don't scare Jax. Muka namang mabait na bata to. And you know him right?. And Jax, we know that what you said is true.We just want to make things more clear." malambing naman na sabi ni tita.

"Yes tita,you can count on my words."I said with a wide smile.Yes!They agree!

After the talk,tito and tita said they will go home in a minute theg will just arrange some things so they leave Raighn to me for awhile.

"Make sure of what you said earlier Creux." Raighn look at me intensively.

"Oo Raighn Seryoso ako don. So you better get ready ."I said and wink at her.

Tita Rhea,called us so we can get home all together.

"You better go home straight iho,Gabi na masyado."paalala ni tita.

"Yes tita,I will."

"Ok,take care iho.We will expect you in our house one of this days ok?"paalam din ni tito.

"Yes tito.Una na po ako.Bye Raighn."I bid my goodbyes to them.

"Bye,ingat ka"she said and it made me smile.

I enter the car and so they are.

RAIGHN's POV

We got home safely.I go straight to my room because Im tired. Dala ko pa ang teddy bear na regalo ni Jax.

I just said my goodnight to my mom and dad so I can sleep na.

I do my routine and prepare for a sleep.But before I go to bed I saw the teddy bear beside my bed.Kinuha ko ito at tinitigan.

"You know what, bibigyan kita ng name."kausap ko sa teddy bear.

"I think Fluffy will be ok? Because you are fluffy." Sabi ko ulit.Hinaplos haplos ko ang teddy bear dahil sobrang lambot nito. Ang cute ng damit niya jumper na may pocket sa gitna. Out of curiousity, sinilip ko ang pocket .

I was shocked, there something inside. I slowly get it so I can clearly see what is it.

It was a silver necklace. How cute. It has a minimalist pendant design with an angel wings. I love it. Akala ko Teddy bear lang ang regalo , i didnt expect this, It's too much but i really love it.

I stand up and go to my drawer to get my jewelry box. I put their the necklace and go back to my bed. Itatabi ko nalang sa pagtulog si Fluffy kaya nilagay ko siya sa right side at nahiga na din.

What a tiring day,but it was a very memorable happy day for me.
