Chapter 35 Out of Character
The car pulled over at the entrance of a highly secretive and high-end club.
Noe was about to unfasten her seat belt when she suddenly paused, looking at Evan with suspicion. "Are we going to eat here?"
Was he really not here for fun? she thought.
Without answering her, Theo threw her a glance and exited the car.
Noe had no other choice but to follow him.
The two of them walked toward the entrance one after another. When Theo walked in, the waiter bowed to him and greeted, "Welcome." However, when Noe approached, she stopped.
The waiter raised his chin and eyed her up. Disdain flashed across his eyes as he asked, "What are you doing here?"
Noe looked down at her own outfit. It was indeed a little shabby, but she replied calmly, "I'm here to have lunch."
When she was about to walk past the waiter, the waiter did not let her in. "This is a high-end club. Not everyone can enter as he or she pleases."
