Reason to be together
Han bilu lightly shook her head to get over her shock and took Lu Man's hands to go over where the men were sitted. The reason she was going to see CEO Zhang Heng was to discuss a possible collaboration with the Zhang corporation and to make a deal with him. This deal will determine if she will succeed in her plans of changing the direction of the faith her "dear" family prepared for her.
"Speak of the angel and here she comes" Zhang Heng whispered to his friend the great devil,who looked uninterested on the surface to his friends rambling but his heart was in turmoil. He couldn't help but feel flustered and happy about her reason for coming towards his direction.
'Does she recognise me? but that couldn't be, right?. she didn't look like she recognised me when our eyes met! . Then why would she be coming to this direction and her eyes focused here if she didn't recognize me?'.
Su Tiangxio believed they were coming for the great devil because he noticed that the devil seemed to know her and therefore thought they knew each other.
While they were all still in their own thoughts...
"Hello CEO Zhang" greeted Han bilu while standing in front of Zhang Heng. Turning to her right, she also greeted president Su Tiangxio. She turned to her left, hesitated for a while but eventually didn't say anything to the man seated there.
Han bilu wasn't trying to be snobbish or rude, but it was just that she didn't recognise who the man was. she made it a point to go through the names of every famous personalities in the business world that would be at the party that evening, narrowed down the one's she needed to be acquainted with and did her research about their personality, looks and so on. So when she saw an unrecognisable man beside CEO Zhang and president Su, she didn't know how to greet him. Besides with the Man giving off such a cold and frosty aura made it difficult for anyone to approach him. So Han bilu decided to ignore him and rather focus on her target tonight: CEO Zhang.
The Zhang corporation recently won a bid from the government for the building of a large tourism centre. The project is said to be worth billions and she had unintentionally overheard her father talking about this deal with Han Lina and Chen Mumbai while she was going to deliver coffee to them in the study room. The three were shocked when they saw her and wondered if she overheard their conversation but her actions after that and the fact that she wasn't the pretentious type dispelled their suspicion.
Han bilu might always act dumb and nonchalant but she was quite smart and quick witted. she also had a retentive memory and can remember things exactly as they were, people's exact words, expressions and every tiny detail everyone else might ignore and consider not important.
Apparently, the Han corporation was in talks with the Zhang corporation to produce leading landscape design for the Landscape architectural project which is a part of the Tourism project won by the Zhang corporation. Mr Han Chengdu wanted Han Lina to work with Chen Mumbai on producing the design for that project. The reason Mr Han was confident in both Han Lina and Chen Mumbai was because Han Lina was a well known designer who had done many successful designs for the Han corporation and is generally recognized in the industry and Han Mubai studied architecture in oxford university and he had worked in almost all of the Chen corporation architectural projects since his return five years ago.
But only Han bilu knew her father Mr Han Chengdu had a hidden motive behind his decision of having Han Lina and Chen Mumbai work on the project together!
'isn't it just right for the daughter and future son in law to rule the company together? but before then, the couple need to have a reason to be together, right?. Especially when the future son in law is currently Han bilu's fiancee,who in turn is his 'younger' daughter'.
