Do not hesitate to kill me

Lucas woke up very early, he was to apply for a quest before noon or else someone else would take it, and it was evident that with quests one could get more in a dungeon.

Lucas hadn't gotten the time to change into something less intimidating than his full body armour.

He placed his hand on the knob, and was only a second away from leaving when he heard a soft yawn from behind him.

"Where are you headed this time?" Lily said half asleep as she let out another yawn.

"Just heading somewhere less important than your good sleep." Lucas didn't wait for a reply as he bolted out of the room.

Lily yawned loudly, then, fell right back to sleep without a care in the world.

Lucas reached a little office at the side of the guild halls. There was a board with the insignia of a lion with wings widespread on the door.

Lucas placed a knock on the door, he looked as if he had just gotten a billion dollar contract.

The door slid open, a tall slender blond stood behind the door with a tablet in her hands.

"Lucas Darkzer, you are here to apply for a quest, correct?" The slender woman smiled faintly.

Lucas nods with fierce determination glimmering in his azure eyes which were fixed on the blond beauty before him.

"There are currently three quests available at the moment..."

Her voice trailed off as Lucas started to feel strange, he felt as if something was trying to rise in his stomach, but was unable to.

"Mr Lucas?" The slender woman looked at Lucas with concern as she saw his strange behaviour.

"N-No, it's nothing." Lucas lied, right now he felt as if he had just ran a marathon.

"So which tier would you like to pick?" The woman stood straight, the usual business look appeared in her face.

'Gods..." Lucas hadn't gotten the rest of the lady's sentence, and now he was more confused to hear about tiers.

"The strongest tier." Lucas replied, not even realizing how vague his answer sounded, luckily for him, the woman was very intelligent.

"The intermediate tier would suit your taste, the monsters are relatively strong, and just as destructive as they are, the more experience you would receive.

This was the perfect opportunity to test his monstrous growth rate, he could get twice the experience and with Lily, cover more ground.

Lucas didn't notice that he himself had started smiling broadly, he was too pleased with this opportunity.

"I see you are satisfied, now we should inform you of our terms and conditions."

Lucas walked out of the office a bit downhearted at first, but he recovered his happy demeanor with time.

The guild requested just ten percent of his earnings in the dungeon so what was he fretting over?

It wasn't a big deal? As far as they requested no higher than that, then he could go with the flow.

"Come in Lucas, I could hear your heart beat from metres away." Lily calls out.

Lucas walked right into the room, without wasting anymore time, he walked up to the bed, then, jumped into it.

Lily sensed he wouldn't want to be disturbed so she sat on her bed which was a few feet away from Lucas's bed crossed legged.

Lily remained in this pose for a total of three and a half hours before Lucas woke up.

Lucas got off the bed, he walked into his own private bathroom to change, Lily didn't need to leave her position.

"Equip." She mumbled with her eyes closed.

As soon as she said that, a new layer of skin grew on her body, it was scaly and rough and had a metallic hue to it.

Lily smiled, surprisingly her elongated canines were gone, replaced with reptilian metal tooth.

She hair had grew longer, reaching down to her waist, her fingers were elongated into claws.

Lily dispelled the skill immediately Lucas walked out of the room. This was one of her divine forms, the more a divinity gets stronger, the more forms it acquires.

Lucas was dressed in a plain green T-shirt and blue trousers, his trusty sword was strapped to his waist.

"Your armour?" Lily started, her eyes were narrowed down to a slit.

"Don't worry, we won't be needing that. This sword is what I need." Lucas smiled as he spoke to Lily in a rather calm tone.

Lucas and Lily walked out of their rooms, immediately before heading for the dungeon site, they opened up their system.

Lucas sighed, he just hoped that the reward was good.

"Are you ready Lily?" Lucas asked with a smile on his face.

Lily nodded slowly, she was just nervous because this was her first time in a dungeon, but she didn't want to seem weak in front of her...

Friend.

Looking at Lucas, and thinking back to all the past events. She wasn't ashamed to call him a friend.

"What's up?" Lucas asked with concern, he felt as if Lily was about to back down any minute from now.

"N-Nothing." Lily stuttered a reply.

"Well, we should be ready for the worst, but let me tell you one thing, if something goes wrong... Do not hesitate to kill me."
