Chapter 1: The Ordinary Life

Aeon stepped off the bus, his backpack slung over his shoulder, and gazed out at the familiar campus of University of Science and Technology. The sun was shining, casting a warm glow over the sprawling buildings and lush greenery. It was a typical Monday morning, with students rushing to and from, chatting with friends, or lost in their own thoughts.

Aeon navigated the familiar campus grounds, dodging the hurried flow of bodies. But as he walked across the campus, Aeon's mind wandered to the upcoming Engineering unit exam. He had been studying hard for weeks, but a nagging feeling of uncertainty lingered in the back of his mind. What if he didn't pass? What if he had to retake the course?

He felt a knot forming in his stomach as he thought about the consequences of failure. He had always been an average student, never really excelling in anything. But he knew that if he didn't pass this exam, his chances of graduating to next year would be slim to none.

As he walked into his Engineering unit lecture hall, he was greeted by a group of students discussing their latest gaming exploits. Aeon's eyes glazed over as he listened to their conversation.

"...I got to level 50 in just a week!" one student exclaimed. "I'm so close to getting the legendary sword!" another student chimed in.

"Dude, I swear, that last boss fight was epic!" one exclaimed, his voice laced with exhilaration. "Took me forever, but man, the loot drop was worth it."

Aeon's gaze drifted to the corner, a pang of nostalgia twisting his gut. He had always loved games, He used to lose himself in fantastical worlds, slaying dragons and wielding magical weapons. But lately, his gaming sessions felt hollow, a cheap escape from the drudgery of his real life.

He yearned for something more, a challenge that wasn't confined to a screen. and he often found himself imagining himself as the hero, battling monsters and saving the world. But in his daydreams, he was always the one who came up with the clever plan, who saved the day with his quick thinking.

But reality was far from that. Aeon knew that he was just an average student, struggling to keep up with his coursework. He had no real skills or talents, except for his analytical mind and strategic thinking.

As the professor began to speak about today's topic, .....

in the middle of the lecture, A few students heard strange noises coming from outside - whispers, creaks, and distant screams. At first, Aeon who was sitting in the back, thought it was just students panicking or playing some kind of prank.

But Aeon felt a sudden shiver run down his spine as the sounds grew louder and more intense, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. The professor's voice faltered as he looked around the room, seemingly unsettled by the commotion.

The students' chatter died down as they too turned their attention to the strange noises outside. The whispers grew louder to screams, and the creaks sounded like footsteps approaching.

"Uh, NO PLEASE DON'T" 

"NO NO-NO GO AWAY"

"UHHH SAVE MEEE"

Aeon's imagination ran wild as he wondered what was happening outside. Was it just a prank gone wrong, or something more sinister?

The professor tried to regain control of the lecture, but it was no use. The students were all on edge, their minds racing with worst-case scenarios.

A bone-jarring screech pierced the silence – the sound of metal scraping against metal. The lights flickered, then died, plunging them into an inky blackness. The screams outside ceased abruptly, replaced by an unnerving silence.

Aeon felt a sense of unease wash over him. He glanced around the room, wondering if anyone else was feeling the same way.

But before he could say anything, the lights in the room flickered and died. plunging them into chilling darkness, heavy and oppressive atmosphere.

And then, everything went silent.

The students were terrified, their hearts racing with fear. Aeon could hear his own heartbeat pounding in his chest.

He knew that something was wrong. He could feel it.

And then, out of nowhere, a loud crash echoed through the room. The sound sent shockwaves through Aeon's body.

He froze in terror as he realized that something was happening outside.
