Tired of being in the hospital and idle, Evelyn felt she was wasting her time just to get rid of someone. She felt she needed to get things done as soon as possible. She didn't want to be entangled with the man anymore. It was better to face the wrath of the society  and both their family once and for all. 

Besides, she felt she was ready for anything. The insults, sympathy, blames and everything that comes with her freedom. As long as the end result is her freedom them she was willing to go through all that... she had been thinking a lot about Jeff and his proposal. It was soon and but she missed to be loved. she wanted to be loved. She may not be able to love him back as passionate as he was to her but maybe she could enjoy the feeling while it still there
