2 1. Just another day

The sun was beginning to rise, bathing the sky with its intense rays of light, producing a mixture of warm colors embedded in the sky.

Little by little the people of New York were waking up to begin another day of their monotonous lives. Meanwhile, in a certain building located in the borough of Queens, more specifically in the Middle Village neighbourhood, near Juniper Valley Park. In one of the houses on 78th Street, you could find a certain blue-eyed female.

Being that, at that moment, she was in her bed, sheltered in her soft and warm sheets. Her eyes were closed at the moment, giving her a peaceful but serene expression. Beams of light streamed through the window above her, slowly warming the blankets that covered her. Giving her warmth and comfort that brought a smile to her thin lips, making her look more beautiful if that was even possible.

Instead, breaking the peace that surrounded her, Caeli's phone had begun to vibrate beside her, but her sleep was so deep and pleasant that she hadn't noticed the vibration.

But there was someone who had. A beautiful feline with dark, fluffy fur who was sleeping at the foot of the bed, and I say was because the phone had woken him from his slumber. After a really annoyed growl, he opened his eyes. And they showed a clear rage at the unpleasant awakening he had had. His elliptical pupils were directed to the place where the hateful noise was coming from.

Snorting in exasperation, he got up and, with clear laziness in his movements, approached the phone and the moment he discovered who it was that dared to interrupt his sleep, he frowned. It was the damned alarm!

He turned his head sharply towards the sleeping young woman he had been living with for a couple of weeks now since his summoning. He climbed onto the girl's belly, and calmly began to move up her body until he was sitting on her chest. He managed to make her uncomfortable with the weight, but still without waking her up.

“Angel,” the cat spoke, trying to wake the blue-eyed girl, but she didn't seem to want to or even try to listen to him in her comfort. “Hey, get up,” he said in a more serious tone, -because if he was fucked up, she would be too-.

But he received no response from the female and in that instant that he had his gaze sharpened, an idea flashed through his mind. The smile on his catlike lips spread mischievously. His body shimmered in greenish tones and he changed from that beautiful cat with fur as black as night, to a handsome young jet-haired with deep, mischievous eyes.

Concretising his image, elongated horns rise on his head, along with pointed ears, and just at the end of his back, a thin but slender tail emerged, leaving finally his menacing and sharp fangs protruding from his lips, and his body, at that moment, was covered by a sleek black shirt that clung to his stocky torso, and tight trousers that allowed his tail to show through.

There he stood over the girl and his tail wagged playfully, while the muscles of his tattooed arms tensed as he bent down, leaving his face close to the sleeping girl.

“Angel~,” he whispered, bringing his lips close to her ear.

And settling in, he left his legs on either side of her hips, while his hands -holding her upper body- were on either side of her shoulders.

His smile widened, for that position allowed him to do many things, even with the sheets covering her body. “Wake up dear~,” he mused as his slippery tongue gently caressed the top of her ear, making a shiver run through her -still asleep- body, but she didn't wake up, making the boy smile wider.

“Hehe, all right, it will be more fun to play with you while your body is more honest,” he said mischievously and, once again, his tongue made its way from the cartilage of her ear to her earlobe. And with more mischief, he bit it lightly with one of his sharp fangs.

Like a spring, the girl opened her eyes and sat still in her place. By that sudden action, the young man fell out of bed, slamming his back against the hard floor.

«She doesn't wake up with the alarm but she wakes up when a humble servant wants to have fun,» thought the demon, frustrated and hurt by the fall, which had made his back crack.

“What do you think you were doing, you damn cat,” she asked with annoyance and a certain hatred in her words.

“A certain little angel would not wake from her restful sleep. A certain helpless little animal was awakened by a strange noise, approached and knowing what it was, simply wanted to help his princess wake up with a kiss from prince charming,” he pointed to himself and smiled as a genuine dandy would. “I mean, me.”

“Wow, I didn't know demons could be princes now,” she said, picking up her phone and noticing the time, she sighed. The good thing about that day was that she only had to take care of the flower shop with her mother.

“And that's not all, il mio angioletto.” He spoke, just levitating next to Caeli's bed. “We can be much more than a mere little prince,” he said, approaching the girl menacingly.

But the girl, in one swift movement, had escaped the black-haired man's grasp, sending him crashing to the mattress as he tried to catch her.

“I doubt you can be much more than an annoying cat,” she said with a faint smile.

With some haste, she walked over to her wardrobe and grabbed a set of clothes so she could change. After that, she turned to look at the demon. “I'm going out, don't leave this room, understand? I still have no idea what to do with you,” sighed the girl, closing her eyes and shaking her head.

“Is that a wish?” he asked taunting the younger girl and she grunted. “You know... you can change here, it really doesn't bother me at all,” said the boy with a long, cynical smile, as he levitated around Caeli.

“You wish, pervert,” she pressed the clothes she had chosen against her body and looked askance at the toxic looking boy.

“Calm down angel~, I won't do anything to you until our pact is complete.”

“There's more?!" said the younger girl, with her eyes widening in surprise and speechless at what he had said.

“You still haven't asked me for your wish my dear, that's why you called me, remember?”

The girl was silent at that moment, because it was true. She was in this position because of what she had done a few weeks ago. A bucket of cold water fell on her when the boy had answered her, but she didn't say anything, she simply turned, went in the direction of the door to leave the room, and when she took the knob, before leaving she glanced at the demon, and after a sigh, she simply left him alone in her room.

She had almost forgotten, but now that sharp-eyed jet-haired boy had reminded her of it.

At the memory of why she had summoned him, her chest constricted and in a second, her eyes began to sting, and her vision began to blur. Without hesitation, she went into the bathroom, washed her face, and soon changed so she could go to work.

But when she came out and her mother looked into her eyes, her pleasant smile had changed to a worried expression.

Calmly she approached, and her daughter threw herself into her arms. The woman, closing her eyes, reciprocated the embrace, letting the brunette release the pain that was currently assaulting her heart. Even if Chiara didn't know why she was like this, she simply stayed by her side, as any mother would do with her daughter when she saw her crying.

But this was just another day in the life of the young woman called Caeli Bellini, a nineteen year old girl. Who already had a course set by the cruel fate. Which had already made her suffer before...
