1 My Dearest Sunshine (ONE-SHOT)

I entered a room at a certain hospital...

"Hey, Kageyama!" He greeted me with a big smile on his face while holding a ball in his hand

I smiled a little at the sight, yeah, my day isn't complete until I see my dearest sunshine

"Hey..." I greeted him back as I put my bag on the floor and I sat beside him

"So what did you do today?" He asked me as he plays with the ball in his hand and then he looked at me excitedly

"Nothing much really, we just practiced, the usual," I told him, and then I asked him if he wants some apple when he said yes I stood up and I started peeling the apples

"Really?" He asked as he munched on the apple that I peeled

"Oh! I might not be able to visit you next week" I told him when I remembered the Captain's words

"Why?" He asked and then he continued eating while holding the ball with his skinny hands

"We'll be going on a training camp" I answered and then when I looked at him he looked kind of sad, that's why I ruffled his hair

"Don't worry, It's only for a week" I told him while ruffling his hair

"Haha, okay" He replied as he chuckled for a bit

"Hey, Kageyama! look! It's snowing!" He said as he points out of the window, and when I looked, it really is snowing

"I want to go outside!" He said as he tugs on my Jacket, he looks at me pleadingly that's why I agreed

"Only for a while," I told him and then I took my jacket off and then I gave it to him to wear

He sat in his wheelchair and then we went outside of his room, when we got to the hospital ground he looks around excitedly when he saw snow everywhere...

He looks like he was having fun, despite the fact that he can't play on the snow because of his condition

"Hey, Kageyama," He called my attention while he was smiling looking at the snow

"Yeah?" I asked him and then he held my hand

"If I ever disappear from the world one day, please promise me that you'll be happy, that you'll still do everything that you love to do," He told me while grinning as he looks at the snow

"Boke! don't say that, you can still recover you know" I told him as I hug him from behind

"Hahaha, I'm just saying just in case you know," He told me as he holds my hand while laughing softly

"Still," I told him, and then he continued laughing

"I'm getting cold, Bakayama, Let's go back now," He told me, and so we returned to his room

"It's late now, I have to go back, see you next week," I told him, and then he smiled

When Kageyama left his room, Hinata's smile faded, and tears started falling from his eyes

Baka Kageyama Baka, By the time you return, I might not be around anymore you know...

"I need to leave him something just in case right?" Hinata told himself as he grabbed a pen and a paper, then he started writing his letter, his last letter for Kageyama...

When he finished writing, he left the letter in the drawer beside the bed, and then he went to sleep...

The next day, when he woke up, he remembered that Kageyama's departure to his Training Camp is today, He looks at the window when a nurse entered, it's the nurse he got close with while he's in the hospital

"Hey, Miss Nurse, can I ask for a favor?" He asks the nurse and then he took the letter from his drawer and he gave it to the nurse,

"Can you give this to the guy who always visits me? The one in the black uniform" I told her, she smiled and then she said okay after she took some of Hinata's blood, and then she left his room

Hinata looks out of the window from his bed, Is Kageyama on the Location yet? He thought as he lay on the bed...

At the training camp, Kageyama was eating with his upperclassmen

"Kageyama, how's Hinata?" Their Captain Daichi asked while eating

"Yes? He's doing fine the last time I saw him" He answered as he continued eating

Today is their last day at the training camp, It's been a week, Finally, He'll see his Boke again that's what Kageyama was thinking

"That's good, I hope he gets well soon," Daichi said as he continued Eating

As Kageyama fell asleep, he had a dream

I looked around and I saw that I'm back at the hospital where Hinata is staying, when I turned my head I saw Hinata Waving at me while smiling, and so I quickly ran to him...

"Hey, Kageyama!" Hinata greeted me when I got to him I smiled looking at his lively face, he looks really healthy, like the first time we meet during the middle school tournament

"Hey, Boke, It's cold here what are you doing here?" I asked him as we walk towards a bench and then we sat down,

"Well, Snow is my favorite, of course, I'll be here," He said while laughing

I hugged him, and then he touched my hand

"Kageyama, thank you, for coming into my life, thank you for being with me through everything, but I have to go now, my time is up now you know," He said, I looked at him with a petrified look

"Hey, What the Hell are you saying? you're going to be well, you still want to be an ace right?" I asked him while laughing nervously

But when I looked at Hinata, He's just smiling at me, and then He stood up from the bench and then started walking towards a light...

I shouted his name over and over again hoping that he would turn back and return to my side...

But he didn't he just walked and walked until the light devoured him and he disappeared from my sight

I woke up, and when I looked at my hands they're trembling, and when I touched my cheeks, It's wet, I'm already crying and yet I didn't notice it, because there is an unknown fear that I was feeling...

I stood up from my bed and then I went to the bathroom to wash my face and such...

What was that dream? I thought after I washed my face, I looked at my watch and it's 7:00 in the morning

When the captain saw me, he told me that it's time for breakfast and that everyone was waiting for me, that's why I went to the cafeteria with him

After breakfast, we started our practice matches with the other schools, and in the afternoon It's time for us to go home

When we arrived at the school and after the meeting, I went to the Hospital to visit Hinata, when I arrived at the hospital, I went towards Hinata's room...

But when I entered, It was empty, as if Hinata has already vanished, when I turned towards the door of the room, I saw a nurse there...

"Hey, are you Kageyama?" the nurse asked me as she fumbled on her pockets

"Yes, um... may I ask where is the patient here in this room?" I asked with fear tightening my chest and I can't even understand why...

"He... He died two days ago, and he left this here, he told me that it was for Kageyama" the nurse said, and then she handed me a paper with a necklace on it

I turned pale when I heard the news, but I didn't cry there, I went out of the room and then I walked towards the park where we would go often, and then I sat on the bench and then I opened the letter

Dear Bakayama,

Bakayama, I'm writing this letter because when the training camp ends, I might've departed from this world, Bakayama, first of all, I want to thank you for being by my side all this time, thank you for visiting me all the time, and thank you for loving me with all your heart...

Bakayama, I'm sorry because I won't be able to become the ace now, I won't be able to play with you till we become pros now, I'm sorry bakayama...

And, lastly, I love you Kageyama, sorry I won't be able to say that personally, but know that I will always cheer you on, and I hope that we can see each other again in our next life.
