CHAPTER 7

No one really knew how to start the conversation. That is until shanaya spoke.

She saw something on the smaller girl's temple. "That's an interesting mark you got there."

Iqra blindly traced the heart-shaped birthmark she knew would be on her temple and tenderly smiled. "I know. I was born with it."

"That's really cute," the queen bee gave a smile. "I have one on my waist. Want to see?" Then she grinned and watched as the shy girl blushed profusely.

"Uh... n-no thanks."

Iqra struggled to control the sudden heat that enveloped her face.

....

While talking like this, the shanaya fell asleep.

Iqra looked at the taller girl who bathed in the moon's soft glow and couldn't help but feel her breath being taken away. Looking at the face of shanaya, she herself passed into the world of dreams.

The two slumbering girls were roused when they heard the noisy sound of the cleaning staff cart echoing in the hallways. Shanaya immediately bolted and went to the door, banging it loudly.

"Hello? Is someone there? Please open the door. It's stuck!"

The noise stopped before they heard footsteps approaching the room. Then, they saw the knob wiggle and finally, the door opened.

Mr. Das's head popped out of the door. " What the Were you stuck here all night? Why didn't you call anyone for help?"

Shanaya lifted an eyebrow and put her hand on her waist. "If we could call for help, we wouldn't be stuck in there now, would we? Stop doing stupid things and get out of my way." Then she stormed off past Mr. Das, stopping a few feet away and looking back at Iqra. " Well? Let's go."

Iqra scuffled towards shanaya, mumbling a small 'I'm sorry' to the stunned cleaning staff before they walked away together, leaving Mr. Das scratched his head.

They walked out of the building and Iqra felt the morning breeze hit her face. She took a deep breath and glanced at shanaya, only to find the other girl watching her.

"What?" she asked, immediately becoming conscious of how she looked.

Shanaya shook her head. "Nothing," then she gripped Iqra's hand and continued to walk towards the parking lot. They stopped when they reached shanaya's car and shanaya let go of iqra's hand so she could unlock it.

Shanaya reached down to get her phone from the dashboard. " Oh, look like here. It's only 6:15 am," she announced, grinning. "I'm going to drop you off at your house."

Iqra's cheeks flushed. "You don't have to do that. I live in dorm."

"Oh, then I will lead you to the dorm".

But shanaya wanted to know where iqra lived. She was extremely curious about iqra, and she had the urge to know everything about the girl.

She was going to tell shanaya that there was no need to take her to the dorm as she could do it herself. But she saw her and realized that shanaya would not listen to her, so they both started their journey towards Dorm together.
