68 Chapter 68: Matthias & Emery

Their savior was a tall slim man in his forties wearing tight black jeans, boots, and a black turtleneck.

Aubrey recognized him at first sight.

"Matthias…" She uttered.

The man took a cursory glance at the wounded Rhyland before saying a quick, "Follow me."

Already in a weakened state, Rhyland attempted to shake his head not wanting to go along with a random stranger.

But Aubrey wouldn't be deterred, "We need to go with him. You need to get treated."

Rhyland was only able to utter one word before transforming back to a human and passing out. "Aubrey…"

Aubrey's body nearly buckled at the man's dead weight. "Wait, help us." She groaned out to the man who ended up turning back to assist in lifting Rhyland who had passed out.

Rhyland who was quite muscular was rather heavy even for two people to carry.

Grunting and panting, the pair managed to place Rhyland at the backseat of a nondescript black car.
