1 PROLOGUE

TITANS!, An unknown intelligent race that appeared on Earth 20 years ago and has been waging war against the human race ever since. With skins that are dark green and very hardened that even all high-level weapons known to mankind couldn't penetrate, they are very energetic and battle thirsty, have astounding speed and by far superhuman strength, they were also intelligent enough to attack and destroy the Earth's nuclear weapons on their arrival which was mankind's greatest weapon, and they also have a humanoid shape, but each possesses a tail and dragon-like scales which reinforces the defense of their bodies making it sturdier and impenetrable than ever.

The Titans were a race that rivaled humans in terms of intelligence and that made them even more formidable opponents, they were capable of interacting using mankind's general language, and their technology is far more advanced than that of humans. The war has lasted for 20 years and had forced what's left of the entire human race to hide behind large gigantic walls made in a circular motion and encasing a vast area of land that is capable of inhabiting a huge number of survivors that totaled up to 144.4 million people.

The walls are made of bricks infused with high waves of electromagnetic force thereby creating a forcefield area outside of the wall that is highly efficient in keeping away the Titans.

At that time when mankind was making their last stand behind the wall and waiting for the Titans to come knocking, a group of individuals totaling five in number that had the sponsoring and backings of their families and referred to themselves as 'founding families' emerged from the shadows and introduced an element they called 'DUST' to the rest of the world.

According to the 'founding families,' the discovery and very first appearance of Dust was dated back to the first day of the Titans invasion due to the spatial overlap that occurred as an after effect of the Titans using spatial tunnels to instantly teleport into the Earth's atmosphere to avoid been spotted by the satellites revolving around the Earth. Titans possessed very advanced technology and had even begun making use of spatial tunnels and teleportation devices to instantly travel over long distances and they did the same on the day of their arrival on Earth.

And because of the large number of forces they brought alongside their mothership and the prolonged opening of the spatial tunnel to ensure their troops' safe passage, made the tunnel crash on itself and resulted in a massive explosion 'BOOM' that shook the Earth and created a huge spatial overlap over the city and countless other spatial openings around the globe, thereby exposing Earth to a countless number of other planets and heavenly energies that rained down unto the Earth alongside massive numbers of ultra beasts that differed in size but all seemed powerful.

Dust was one of the energies that flooded Earth on that day that was beneficial to humans, as the human body could absorb the 'Dust' energy in the surrounding overtime and use it in strengthening themselves and after further cultivation, some individuals were able to perform certain abilities due to the high accumulated number of 'Dust' they had in their system.

Further research was conducted by the 'founding families' and it was discovered that the 'Dust' energy changes the genetic makeup of organisms exposed to it, such organisms are then able to absorb other heavenly energies know as 'ability runes' from the surroundings enabling them to master and control such runes, the number of runes one body could absorb and hold determines how strong one's ability will be.

But the downside to it all was that not everyone could absorb these energies naturally, despite the 'Gifting machine' that the 'founding families' developed afterward to ease and hasten the absorption process there were still some unlucky ones whose bodies couldn't still hold these energies.

Dust gave humans an enormous fighting chance and helped even the tides of the war, enabling humans to be able to build other shelters or 'Lands' as they called them on few other locations outside the wall. Humans now live in large collective groups behind walls they called 'LANDS'.

These lands are six in numbers and are at far distances apart from each other. Five are controlled by a head family from one of the 'founding families' each that made up the higher council while the sixth is headed by the 'head of states general' of the military and holds the sixth seat within the higher council.

The founding families are the original families that discovered Dust and revealed its power to the world. For those that are fortunate enough and could absorb the heavenly energies then granted with abilities, they are free to choose one out of the six available factions to serve under.

The current world system came about through the efforts of the founding families but due to some unexplainable reasons that were not revealed by the 'founding families' their offsprings were all birthed with the family's ability that is considered the original ability of the 'founding families' and can't obtain another ability even after undergoing the 'Gifting Event'. They only carry the 'founding families' original abilities that are considered to be the strongest of all abilities.

With the introduction of 'Dust' came the five 'founding families':

The first family is known as the "SUNRAYS", were considered to be the strongest due to the Fire elemental ability they possessed and it was regarded as the most destructive and impulsive ability. Also, they have been the only family to ever produce an immortal ranked ability user. Their 'Land' is located in the far North of the African continent regarded as one of the hottest places on Earth which significantly boosts their fire ability as they derive enough heat and energy boost from the sun.

The second family is known as the "WATERLASH", and the top rivals of the 'sunrays' are considered the second strongest family with most of its family members as water users and the rarest ones, the 'Ice warriors'. Their 'Land' is located at the North Pole where both the water and cold weather is of an advantage to them

The third family known as the "GLADES" can control the wind, and only the top leaders of their family possess the ability to fly. Their 'Land' is located right in the middle of where the humans tagged the wastelands.

The fourth family being the earth users are known as the "BLOCKS" and their 'Land' is located in the suburbs.

And the fifth family known as the "CROFTS" are considered the third strongest in the chain of power and are slightly different from the rest of the 'founding families, as their ability still require their offsprings to go through the 'Gifting Event'. Most of their ability users are the weapon enhancement type, each member of the family doesn't build a weapon but is formed within them from a tender age, and only after being introduced to dust can they be able to materialize it and summon it as they desire. But the strongest of this family is the beast enhancement type ability users, as they are very rare and unlike the others, the beasts they control are birthed from the same womb as them and on the same day with both lifespans being tied to each other. When the master dies the beast does, but the master doesn't when the beasts die but to them, a life without their life companion is as good as being dead also. The beasts' enhancement users can also form and summon their weapon also from their inner self making them the strongest in their family.

The 'six lands' were named by the founding families with most of them naming it after their family's ability.

The first family land was named 'Land of FIRE', the second 'Ice Lands', the third 'AIRWAY' the fourth being 'Land GREEN' the fifth 'Crafts Land' and sixth belonging to the military known as 'The BASE' --- the location is unknown to even the council members and founding families except for the 'head of states general'.

Because of the ongoing war, all newly turned sixteen years old are to go through the 'Gifting event' after which they all are to attend the military school for a total of two years to learn fighting skills and gain perfect mastery of their abilities, before either deciding to remain with the military or return to their 'Lands' to serve.
