Start of a New Life

In a forest in Astraea.

A group of four can be seen traveling inside the forest, but one of them is dragging a makeshift stretcher with an unconscious person on it. They consist of three humans, one elf, and the one on the stretcher looks to be a female beastfolk.

The female elf then asks one of the human females in the group a question.

"Pecorine-sama, what do you plan to do once we get to the city?"

Pecorine is a human with light blue eyes and loose long orange hair, and a small portion of it is braided over her shoulder. She also has a large cowlick hair. She wears a tiara with red ribbon on the corner. Her attire consists of a white low-cut dress with ruffled layered over a red pleat skirt and gold detail to accent the buttons on the torso. She has a blue vest bound by red ribbon and brown straps, with a piece of armor on the right shoulder. She also wears white gloves with buckled wrists.

"Hmm, let me think. After we bring this girl over to the hospital, I'll search for an inn."

"What about you Kokkoro-chan, Yui-chan, Yuuki-kun?"

Yuuki has unkempt black hair, teal eyes and he has an average, yet sturdy build. His avatar belongs to the human-race. He wears a black and teal outfit with a blue cape around him and an armor plate on his right shoulder. He wears a pair of dark brown leather gloves on his hands. He also wears brown pants and dark brown boots. He has a blue belt with a golden belt buckle and a red strap for holding on to a gray sheath. His weapon is a one-handed longsword.

Kokoro has pale white hair and eyebrows, pointy elf ears and pink coloured eyes. She sports a short bob cut with a large bang in the middle of her forehead and two smaller hair strands at the side of her face. Kokoro wears a short dress that reveals a bit of her legs and a medium sized robe that only covers her left shoulder. She also wears a golden ring on her left finger and also carries a staff.

"Master and I will also search for an inn. My life's mission is to take care of him, but currently he is suffering from amnesia."

"What about you, Yui-sama?"

Yui has gentle blue eyes and short pink hair framing her face. She wears a gold headband with a white and gold flower and ruby gem. Her outfit consists of a white and peach jacket with gold and red accents. On the neck is a brown choker with gold detail and a ruby diamond. She also wears a red scalloped pleat skirt with gold detail and fluffy white petticoat layers, boots to match her jacket, and peach socks with gold and red detail.

"I'm going to look for my companions first before going to an–"

Kyyyaaaaa!!!! Help us!!!

"Everyone, did you hear that? Someone needs help, let's go!"

As Yui was giving her answer, they heard a scream for help from the forest. They hurriedly ran to where it came from, and as they drew near they saw broken branches, a carriage track, and footprints of monsters. From the clues they gathered, a group of people is being attacked by monsters, so they hastened their pace.

When they arrived at a clearing in the forest, they only saw bodies covered in blood and the wreckage of the carriage, but there were no monsters in sight.

"Yui-chan, stay here and look after this girl. Kokkoro-chan, Yuuki-kun, check if there are any survivors. I'll go check the surroundings if there are any monsters that stayed."

After Pecorine gave orders to everyone, she left to check their surroundings. Kokkoro and Yuuki immediately went to check if there were any survivors. Yuuki was checking the bodies while Kokkoro checked the carriage if anyone was still inside.

~Ryu's POV~

*Ryu opened his eyes slightly*

"An unknown ceiling?"

I'm alive? How? I remember a truck crashing into the bus I was in, it's a miracle I survived that. Let me see if I can get up

*Ryu tries to get up but because of his injuries, he falls back down.*

"Ugh."

Ow, my body seems to have suffered a lot from that accident.

"Master, I heard someone over here."

Huh? The rescuer's are here, but who are they calling master? Wait, that girl's voice seems to be familiar. I'll just wait here then, so I also don't worsen my condition.

*The carriage was opened by Kokkoro and Yuuki.*

"I'm back, did anyone survived Kokkoro-chan?"

"Pecorine-sama, we found someone inside the carriage."

"Let me help you in getting them out."

'Kokkoro? Pecorine? No way! Did I reincarnate?!'

*Ryu then suddenly felt someone carrying his body out of where he was and laying him down on the ground.*

*Ryu slowly opened his eyes.*

"Yui-chan, can you heal this boy? He has wounds all over his bo– Oh you're awake, are you hurt anywhere else?"

'It's really Pecorine, I'm not dreaming am I? Well, from the pain I'm feeling right now, so maybe not. I don't know my identity in this world so it might be better to be like Yuuki over there.'

"Only my body feels painful. Who are you?"

"Oh, I'm Pecorine. The one healing you right now is Yui-chan."

"Hello, you'll feel better after I heal you."

"And those two are Kokkoro-chan and Yuuki-kun."

"Nice to meet you."

Kokkoro bows as she greets me, and Yuuki copies her. I sat up slowly as the pain in my body was slowly going away.

"Thank you for saving me, but I want to ask, where am I? Why was I in a carriage? I know that my name is Ryu but I don't know anything else."

"Eh? So you are like Yuuki-kun, he also has amnesia. So you really don't remember anything else?"

I shook my head. I then looked at my hands as they talked between themselves on what to do with me. My hands seem to have shrunken from what I remember them to be, so I assume I reincarnated into someone young but I don't know the age. Oh they seem to have come to a conclusion.

"Ryu-sama, would you like to come with us? We are heading to Landosol."

"If that is fine with you, I would gladly come along but I don't have any money."

"That's fine Ryu-kun, we can check if the carriage you were on has any you can use."

So we stayed a little longer there as we buried the dead and scavenged supplies and money I can use from the wreckage. I didn't feel anything for the dead people I saw, it might be because I didn't know them and that I might still be in shock that I got reincarnated.

While we were scavenging earlier, I saw my reflection on a broken mirror. I seem to have dark brown hair and eyes. Surprisingly, I know that my appearance is from an anime I watched before. My body is from the main character of the anime, By the Grace of the Gods, Ryoma Takebayashi. So if my guess is right, I'm around 11 years old.I hope I also got his powers, he was kinda overpowered for his age.

I will live my life leisurely in this world. I just hope the faker in the castle doesn't make any moves for now.
