1 Chapter 0 - prologue
In cultivation one spends twenty-five years to achieve the Mortal realm, fifty years to achieve the Earth realm, one hundred years to achieve the Sky realm, and then one thousand years to achieve the Heaven realm. After these realms, one studies the dao. Dao comprehension can be separated into Dao Lord, where one understands their minor dao, Dao King, where one understands their major Dao, and then Dao Emperor where one understands a grand dao. After one achieves Heaven realm and understands a minor dao their lifespan will stretch as long as their dao can carry them. If a cultivator ever strays from their dao then their life will be lost.
The sect leader of the Heavenly Dao Sect is the only person to ever exceed the Dao Emperor realm understanding the Heavenly Dao. The Heavenly Dao determines the roles of every other dao. He is a Dao Hegemon, he solely is invincible in this world. He saved the world from foreign invasion and destruction even raising the level of strength of the world several times over by freeing them from oppression. He has done this all in a relatively short two thousand years.
Over four thousand years after saving the world and unifying it under his sect his biggest challenge yet is approaching...fatherhood.

The Heavenly Dao Sects upper echelon had all gathered on the main peak. Twenty Dao Emperors, Hundreds of Dao Kings, and thousands of Dao lords had gathered together. A force this strong hadn't gathered since the invasion thousands of years ago, no, this force might be even bigger. They were all nervously chattering amongst themselves trying to figure out what could've caused them to be summoned here. Normally they only met when the world was in crisis and even then they were rarely all called together. Even the Dao Emperors, the closest confidants of the sect lord looked confused.
The Sect Lord appeared on the seat of honor surrounded by the Dao Emperors in an instant. He cleared his throat, the sound silencing all of the sect elders.
"I'm sure you're wondering why I called you all here today." He stood up from his seat and started to pace along the main stage, "I am about to be blessed with a child." He stopped his pacing and looked out on the crowd of elders. It was not the reaction he expected, instead of excitement he was met with a general sense of apathy. He cleared his throat again furrowing his brow. "This is the greatest trial I have ever faced and I need your help to overcome it." The crowd of elders started to realize that they were called here because their all-powerful sect leader was scared of being a dad. The Heavenly Sun Emperor who was sitting closest to the Sect Leader looked over at him awkwardly "Most of us have left behind countless descendants in all the years we've been alive. I myself have over a hundred children."
The Sect Leader turned to face him looking rather awkward, "Ah, really? I thought this was rather rare." The Extreme Ice Empress, one of the few female Dao Emperors replied to him "I think that's only you Sect Master. It may be because you only have one wife. Even I have concubines, I have tried convincing you to take some." The Sect Master turned to her "Isn't that kinda impure though?"
That's right, the most powerful man in the world, the all-knowing Dao Hegemon was actually, incredibly innocent. He had spent almost all of his time cultivating and only in the last hundred years when he realized he had hit a limit in his cultivation did he finally think of the matters between a man and a woman. He had married the Sword Empress who was also a genius cultivator from the same generation as the Dao Hegemon. She herself was obviously a cultivation genius being able to reach the Dao Emperor realm in only a few thousand years. She was famous for her strict cultivation style that pursued perfection in the sword.
The thousands of powerhouses that had gathered together all collectively sighed. There's no way their kid will be okay.
