‘‘Let me just go ask the librarian if we have a copy of the book here...'' I told Jade and Nadine, and they nodded as I walked over to the librarian who was busy typing something on the computer. I told her the details of the book, and she immediately looked through the data.

‘‘I’m sorry, Miss…’’ she said apologetically. ‘‘The book you need was recently checked out by somebody else...''

‘‘It’s okay…’’ I walked off to scroll around the library, feeling a tinge of disappointment.

As I made my way carefully along one of the aisles, I let my eyes wander around the shelves, which were extremely high and filled with various books as they surrounded me. The sight, once more, caused me to take my breath away.

This was one of the many reasons why I had such a deep appreciation for this school. It has one of the most beautiful libraries I’ve ever stepped my feet into, and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it.
