‘‘Let's go inside first…’’ The door to my office was opened by my father, and he indicated to the girl that she should come inside. ‘‘I want to talk to my son about something…’’

As I followed them inside, I rolled my eyes and watched Michelle make her way to the sofa and get into a comfortable position on it.

‘‘What is it?’’ I inquired, noticing my father picking up something from the top of my desk.

He then handed me a brown envelope and said, ‘‘Here's our final backup plan for the Italy shipyard...’’ It was evident that the contents within were highly confidential documents. ‘‘You show this to them tomorrow in the meeting, and let's see if the majority of the board is still opposed to our idea...''

I focused my attention on the envelope that he was holding out in front of me.
