The conversation I overheard in the restroom had a significant impact on my thoughts the next morning. Add in Draco’s warning from gym class, I found myself continually looking over my shoulder as I walked around the campus.

Even though we hadn't covered any of the lesson yet, our teacher surprised us with a pop quiz in Literature class. It was a glaring reminder that Goldstein was quite different from my previous school, and that I would need to exert far more effort in this new environment.
