Chapter 101 FIRST TRUE LOVE

I remember that I was watching the news on television before falling asleep. My gaze drifted downward, and there, on the carpeted floor, was a cup of coffee that had fallen to the ground.

Considering how hard I’ve been holding Michelle’s arm, it's possible that she was the one who accidentally knocked over the cup because of me. Maybe she was on the way to bring me coffee when she found me moving around in my sleep.

The sudden entrance of Ford and Drew into the living room made me realize that I had just succeeded in rousing everybody in the penthouse with my nightmare.

‘‘Another bad dream?’’ Drew was the first one to speak up, breaking the awkward silence. A sigh escaped from his mouth. ‘‘It’s still bothering you, isn’t it? It always comes again after a few months…’’

I remained silent as I continued to work on regulating my breathing.

‘‘It's about time that you paid the doctor a visit, Devon...'' Drew added.

‘‘No…’’ I took a strong stance against it.
