McKenna helped her up and together they made it outside and started walking towards her car. It was raining heavily now and she needed to get Kara to safety before coming back for Jason's body.

They barely made it halfway when Kane appeared with a gun and he pointed it at them.

"You had no plans of letting us walk out of here, did you?" McKenna asked and placed herself between Kane and Kara.

"You made the wrong choice! Say your goodbyes" 

McKenna turned around and hugged her daughter.

"I love you" 

"I love you too, mom"

The gunshot sound vibrated throughout the entire yard.

McKenna waited for the pain and when it didn't come she opened her eyes and looked at Kane. A shadow was standing in front of him, she couldn't make out the face but whoever it was shot Kane in the thigh.

"Chloe?" Kane choked out.
