Chapter 176: Will you remember me?

 "The deal was for you to keep her safe but so far, you've done a banged up job, Jason. It's high time I took over!" 

Jason held her gaze.

"Over my dead body!" He murmured.

Kara slipped out the door while her father and mother engaged in a screaming match. She almost bumped into McKenna in the hallway.

"Hey baby. What's the yelling all about?" McKenna asked her.

Kara shrugged like she was saying she doesn't have a clue "Grown up stuff, I guess. Can I go?"

McKenna nodded and she went on her Merry way down to Kessler's room at the end of the hallway.

McKenna opened the door and she entered inside to find Jason and Naya in a staring match, each one looking like they wanted to end the other.

She exhaled. It's been one hell of a long day, the longest she has had in a while and her family having a loud disagreement wasn't helping matters.
