Where Did He Go?

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing," I lied too quickly.

I took the decision to move into the mansion temporarily and I was free to cancel it, but I didn't want to. That place had the power I needed to build and destroy. My resources were located over there. And so I had to be there right now, she shouldn't be upset about that.

Still, I didn't want to tell her like this. I took a deep breath. I knew I could handle this. "I want to take you out tomorrow,"

A slow smile lit up her face, "Like a date?" She asked.

"Like a date," I was grinning like an idiot.

"I've never been out on a date before!" She jumped and hugged me. And I felt like a jerk, I should take her out more often.

She pushed herself back a little but she kept her hands around my neck, "Hey, no bursting my bubble!" She pressed a finger between my eyebrows straightening out my frown.

I smiled again, happy to see her back to her usual self.

"Much better," she said and hugged me again.

First dates were important.
