24 The last Domain?

After having to defeat the Krakenious, we are worn out. We then rest for several days. In those periods, I have my clones go fishing so I can also acquire water affinity skills.

We set up a camp on the frozen sea island for now.

At the same time, my [Ultimate Sight] has leveled up into [Ultimate Far Sight] which allows my vision now to zoom into far distances.

Peering into the distance, it looks like we are about a hundred kilometers into the edge of this dungeon. No matter how much stamina I have, I have no plan to swim it.

I then sit as I think.

For now, I'll have to enjoy a burnt Krakenious. I wonder if I can make some Takoyaki out of these but Krakenious are more squid so squid balls?

Can sauce as good as earth even exists in this world?

Seeing Ren, he is standing on the edge of the ice island, looking into the far distance, contemplating something. I offered him some food but he refuses and tells me ghouls don't need to eat.

Huh? Regardless, even if she is silly she is still quite cute.

Looks like I have decent growth of level this time. I reached level 218 now. Also, it seems I gained some useful skills from eating the kraken.

I got some titles as well and have to hide them in my inventory for now.

For my brilliant plant to escape this dungeon, I laugh aloud. "Alright, folks brace yourselves! Verni's express shall depart soon!"

Ren seems worried about my plan. "Huh? What do you plan to do?"

Vermil gulps as she shivers. "I-I trust you brother!"

Once we are ready, we then set out.

I have the ice island where we stand to be pulled by Aqua Strikers. I use silk to attach it upon them and thus we are being pulled, moving us at great speed.

Ren and Vermil are uncomfortable with my idea. They grip on their blades tightly that are sunk into the ice.

I wonder why they find this uncomfortable since this is fun.

We then go to the next domain which is the dungeon of Fremiel. It is a chaotic dungeon filled with lightning affinity beasts.

It is a challenge at first since the opponents here can easily stun us. Using my tsunami ability I can wipe out most of the monsters. It seems they are weak against water.

The General Monster [Emperiol] is a giant phoenix wrapped in fierce electricity. It can shoot out destructive lightning that can disintegrate anything in its path.

It is a tough opponent that Ren and I were in a pinch but we somehow managed to make it through with teamwork. We managed to defeat it and raise some levels.

We then have to proceed to the next one.

The next domain is the dungeon of Galkobin, it is filled with earth affinity monsters that have the highest defense. Unlike in the previous dungeons, I can't one-hit delete the monsters in these areas.

Since there are too many of them we have to use our agility and avoid some unnecessary fighting. Luckily they are too sluggish and can't catch up with our speed.

It was a piece of cake for our team.

As for the General Monster [Minogaurus] is the toughest opponent I have come across. It can cancel any magical attacks and the only way to defeat it is by using physical attacks.

However, Minogaurus has the strongest physical damage that it can one hit my clones.

We have no choice but to wear it out by using my clones and have to sacrifice one after another. I keep spamming my clones just to steadily decrease its HP for I don't know how much time has passed. Maybe almost a week.

The battle dragged on since it has insane stamina and defense aside from its offense in which I have to use nearly all of my MP for my clones. It totally exhausted me.

However, we manage to defeat it at some point. Afterward, I collapse and Vermil goes close to my side to catch me.

Is it over?

I think it is. I just fell asleep on Vermil's thighs again. If I'm going to be in this position, I think I can say that was worth it.

Waking up, I can see a pair of bouncy chests just close to my eyes. I blush as I gulp. Oh, it's Vermil's.

"Brother, you woke up!"

"Ah... haha, yeah."

However, looking above us is strange. There is a blue sky. I can feel the warmth of nature. We seem to be in a lush forest rich in vegetation and young trees.

Does that mean we are on the surface and we did it?

"Hey, are we outside the dungeon now?!" I ask excitedly.

"That's what we thought at first but the sky above is just an illusion magic," Ren says to my disappointment.

But there is a bright yellow light coming from the eastern sky. There is no way this isn't the surface.

"Isn't that the sun?"

"Ah, that? That is just a ball of flames, fire magic to be precise. It doesn't move in that same spot for days now."

"Then how long have I been sleeping?"

"Half a week, but don't worry since your sister has been taking care well of you. And pardon me for advancing the party without your consent, but we can't rest that long."

"Uh no, it's fine."

That battle against the mythical minotaur has drained me, huh? Regardless, I seem well now.

"Oh yeah, I forget to mention but be careful of the creatures of this place. It ain't like the monsters we have come across."

The monsters we dealt with are already insane. There is no way the monsters here can get crazier.

I then flinch when I sense several monsters hiding in the bushes. They then show themselves after I detected them.

"Everyone, monsters!"

However, when they show themselves I calm down.

"Ho-how cute!!!"

These monsters look benign and cute. They have a green round body, large harmless eyes, and small innocent mouths with long bunny ears.

There is no way I can harm these things!

Maybe if I can get one I might name him from my dead cat.

Seeing Vermil she doesn't hesitate to slice them down.

Due to my high mind stats, I manage to resist the illusion. I then fall to my knees and pant.

Even if I resisted it, it drained some of my mental energy.

The illusion feels like the weird dreams I get when I have a fever. It feels uncomfortable. I don't want to experience it again.

I grit my teeth and kick the hell out of these monsters.

"Curse you, you little creeps! Gah!"

After we take care of them, the three of us surround a campfire.

I then sit down while crossing my arms. I flare my nostrils in annoyance. "Those bastards having me to go through that."

Ren says. "I told you to not let your guard down. This is the domain of Tertharus. It is occupied by nature affinity monsters. Most of all, these creatures excel in mind and illusion spells. I think this is the place where we have to be very careful."

"Well, if you told me that in advance, I would have known. And also, sorry..."

Ren sighs. "Well, I doubt you understand since you always take our situations lightly."

"Don't worry, I won't get fooled next time."

"Right..."

It has been nearly 5 months since I was teleported into this world, huh? In those periods even though we went through life-threatening situations, it was kind of fun.

"Brother, I understand what you feel. The first time I saw them I feel like keeping them with me. I think I almost got captured, but luckily Ren slew them and saved me."

"I see. It's good to know that we are the same. Unlike some ghoul who can't understand human's feelings."

Ren clears out his throat to get my attention. "I was a human and I still have my emotions. I'm not a brat like who can't control her impulses."

I stroke my chin as I assess Ren. "When you are still a human, Ren what do you look like? You must be a pretty cool guy, right?"

I can definitely imagine Ren looking like a tall and masculine warrior with a heroic air.

Vermil interrupts me. "Brother, you don't realize? Ren is a ...."

"Is a...?"

"More importantly." Ren cuts us off. He then speaks in a serious tone while crossing his arms. "This might be the last domain that we will have to go through to reach the dungeon core."

The last?!

"Then after we defeat the monster of this place and conquer the dungeon core, everything is over?"

"It will be good if that is the case, also this might be unexpected for you but this dungeon is too peaceful compared to anything we have come across. There are no signs of the General Monster. It's possible it might be sealed or something. If we can't find it we will be stuck here forever." Ren continues.

"Stuck in here forever?!"
