Earlier...

[Myla]

I feel bad seeing Verni being sacrificed just like that. I can't forgive them.

My memories from middle school continue to hunt me. I can't believe I can't save another person.

This is frustrating.

Right now, we are about to enter into another world. How shall I face my future if I break my promise to myself again? Then I am supposed to save the world?

I can't even save two people.

I think it's impossible if this goes on.

I just hope I can find Verni and hope he is alive. That will give me a clearer goal for my future.

Alfred is coming close to me. "Myla, can we please calm down? Stuffs happens you know? I think we need to move on. Be--"

I push him away. "Don't talk to me you scumbag. Everyone of you! You are all worse than garbage!"

The class president went up to me. She raise her chin as she glower down on me. "Don't get cocky, you fake woman. Without your looks you are just a hypocrite and an empty shell. Don't think everyone will take your side just because you look a little better than everyone else."

"Who cares about that? But one thing is for sure. President, you are always aiming to choose Verni from the start. Everyone of you!"

The president grabs my chin and glares at me with authority. I get the feeling that I have been stomped.

This woman is dangerous!

"The decision has been made. Don't pretend that you have the moral high ground. You think I don't know what happened in middle school? If you don't want others to know then shut up!"

It left me speechless. No matter what, I can't let anyone know my past. I shiver as I hold my arms.

She then push me away causing me to fall.

Everyone seems to have agreed with her even without saying a reply.

Now my classmates are staring at me strangely.

"Who does she think she is?"

"She ain't even that hot. Haha, can't believe she is policing us around."

"Alfred, just leave that woman alone. Just find a better one. I think she is a whore, haha. She gives her body for losers like Verni."

I sigh from fear. Looks like I took over Verni's place. However, this is for the best. Who would want to associate with these types of people?

The class president gives a command to everyone. "When we arrive on the another world. Don't panic and follow my lead."

After the whole event, we are then transported into the another world.

We are finally standing on a solid ground. It is made of concrete. We seem to be in a public location just close to a road.

Looking around, we are in some sort of city. It's not as advanced as the cities back on earth but it sure looks wealthy for its current technology.

It seems to be in the middle ages europe, as most fantasies are into. I never read mangas or watched animes but I'm a fan of western dungeon and dragons stories.

I need some time to learn about systems as well.

Regardless, we seem to be very popular. We are surrounded by folks from different classes. The wealthy ones are dressed in garb and fancy trousers, they are most likely the nobles, the ones who wear bland clothing are the peasants.

We then hear the trumpets blaring. The crowd steps aside to create a path. Horse-drawn iron carriages in fancy designs are approaching us. They are lifting a banner with a grandious insignia of a white phoenix head along with a symbol of a cross.

"It's the royal family of Acken!"

A dashing woman in a glimmering gown descends from the carriage. Her clothes seems well-made that it enchants everyone's eyes. She has a long silver hair that runs straight down to her back.

Her beauty catches the eyes of the men. Especially Alfred.

Alfred then glares at me and smiles. He then bumps upon my shoulder forcefully causing me to fall on the ground.

Alfred kneels towards the beautiful woman. He then kisses her finger. "My name is Alfred, young lady. Can I ask for your name?"

She chuckles softly. "My name is Princess Seralene of the Acken family and also the duke of Hegivart."

Princess, huh?

Looks like even my beauty cannot rival this woman. However, I won't care on such trivial things. I should be mature from now on.

We are then welcomed into the White castle of Aren. Seeing it up close feels surreal. It is tall, majestic and white as if it is part of the heavens.

We are given greetings from the nobles of this country. The class president is the representative of the class. She takes the front when dealing with the nobles.

Everyone seems to be on her rhythm. However, I have no choice but to follow.

A banquet will occur tomorrow on our behalf. For now, we are given rooms but sadly it seems there are only 12 guest rooms available and only 4 people are allowed on each rooms.

Since we are 49, 1 has to be left behind. I want to bring it up to my classmates but I think it's too late.

The class president ignores me as she passes over me. I understood what she means and everyone feels the same way.

"That's what you get for playing hero. Hahaha." Cackles Lara as she passes over my ear.

I doubt they will even share a bed with me. I ask the caretakers where I can sleep for the night.

A dirty and dusty store room is given to me. I scan for a location where I can rest without lying upon much dusts. I choose the corner since the place looks relatively cleaner.

I cough everytime and my nose seems itchy. I sigh. This may seem bad but I guess I deserve this. I think I am now atoning for my sins. I mean, it can be worse.

This is nothing compared to what Sheryl and Verni went through. I guess I have to be strong.

The night passes and the morning came. We are summoned into the throne room to give brief introductions. Each of us has to introduce our name and system titles.

The King and his vassals are witnessing this current event. Beside the King is an old man with tall grey beard and droopy eyes. This one is the typical high-ranking wise mage stereotype. Though he doesn't look like he is interested in us during our introductions.

In most of the students their reaction are tame. They just clap with a straight face.

Afterward it is Shira's turn, "good morning good sirs, my name is Shira Valence, the presi- no, the leader of this class. I bear the title of the true hero."

To everyone's surprise, the King and everyone else are taken aback. They clap in bewilderment with an agape mouth. "So that's her, huh? The true hero."

"How magnificent!"

"She is the hope of this country."

"The demons are done for, with her on our side."

Alfred and his friends clicked their tongue in annoyance. The other men as well from the class.

The guy with glasses grins.

As for the girls, they are supporting the class president.

The King begins to introduce himself.

"My name is King Wilmer, the head of the Acken royal family and the ruler of Silvia. Great braves. The summoning only tells us a great catastrophy is coming. Thus, we will need your power. Will you willingly lend us your assistance?"

"What happens if we refuse?" Shira said.

"Then I have no reason to stop you, but if you leave under my influence you won't be able to access information that are otherwise might be confidential or rare weapons or resources. Not to mention, training and even access to the best academy of this country from the best teachers and access to the best dungeons."

Shira then crosses her arms. She rubs her chin in contemplation. "Alright, then promise me one thing good sir."

"What is it?"

"Ensure our safety and that we will be taken care of including food, weapons and information."

"You don't need to worry. That is our intention in the first place."

Shira looks so confident that she even lets the King follow her pace. Most of all, she didn't even give the proper honorifics.

I guess she is something else.

Once everyone agreed, the King made his final decision. "For now, you will undergo training under this country's best instructors. In the next month, we will go to the Deep Forest of Malvis."

I hear the nobles close to me murmuring. "Seriously the woods of malvis? That is an extreme place."

"I believe they can survive it. They are heroes after all."

I finally found my goal. I have decided that I will become strong and once I get to become one, I will leave this place and find Verni myself.
