Showing Gratitude

"How were you even able to get through the scouts patrol border? Well no matter now, lucky for you I'm in a good mood so I'll put you out of your misery with as much pain as possible." Reiner told the snake.

"So scary! I can't imagine how it would be if he was in a bad mood!" Zara thought to herself while shuddering.

Suddenly Reiner took to the sky with his large majestic wings circled and came back around towards the snake at an incredible speed.

The snake knowing Reiner was going to be difficult to attack decided to slither away as fast as he could before he lost something more than just his tail.

However the snake Beastman didn't make it very far before Reiner caught up with him.

SLASH!

Reiner attacked his claws once more, this time to the snakes head, circled back around and attacked once again, this time he slashed the head clean off of the snake, and in the process getting blood all over his feathers.

Zara stood there almost shocked at how incredibly strong this Reiner was.

"He certainly lives up to his reputation." Zara muttered to herself.

Once Reiner made certain that the snake Beastman was indeed dead, he transformed back into his human form, well besides the beast attributes.

He made his way towards Zara who didn't seem so afraid anymore now that she saw the snake Beastman dead.

When Zara saw that Reiner was coming towards her she started to get nervous, but that feeling quickly ended once she was reminded of their previous encounter.

"Well Ayan should be getting worried, see you later!" She said as she tried to quickly run away.

But she was stopped in her tracks by Reiner with a scary and serious look on his face.

"Oh, is that how you thank your savior? I just killed a Beastman for you, and not any Beastman, a pretty powerful predator at that."

"Fine, thank you very much." Zara said while grinding her teeth.

She didn't really want to thank him after what happened between them last time but this time couldn't be helped.

"I don't think you're being grateful enough to your savior now....how about you thank me by making a contract with me?" Reiner asked while holding Zara's chin up with his hand.

"....WHAT! Wait! I thought you hated females! Why are you asking me this? Me of all people!" Zara asked flustered.

"Well I did just save you, I killed a Beastman in front of you which usually isn't the norm for us, so you should repay me back by giving me a contract. Don't you think?" He asked with an evil grin on his face.

"You're actually quite sadistic aren't you?" Zara asked with a straight face.

Reiner returned to his usual cool and cold self, " In any case, that is my requirement, a contract to be fulfilled at any point I deem desirable."

"This guy is actually nuts right? He can't tell me he hates me one day then ask for a contract with me the next! And where is Ayan! Why isn't he here yet!" Zara thought to herself.

From a distance a few scouts began running up towards Zara and Reiner, the same scouts that were patrolling the area.

Among them a very large male with a strong physique and long orange hair in a ponytail.

"Reiner! Are you okay? And what are you doing out here with a female?" He asked.
