My Cheat IS Unrivaled!

Seth, a webnovel otaku like you and me, who is broke asf, has a mother in coma, and a dead father, - and running a dying noodle shack while he's at it, is transmigrated to an eastern fantasy cultivation type world. Whoopie! Its a dream come true! He does not care how it happened, and neither does he care why. What he does care about though, is growing strong like the MCs he had read about and making sure he leads a far better life here than he did on earth. He instantly begins to find his own 'cheat' that would set him apart from the other cultivators in the sectdom, be it a thousand year old spirit herb, or a magical beast that obeys him. Why wouldn't he, when, his life manual is basically a lifetimes worth of movies, anime, and online novels? But hey, shit happens and it turns out that the 'cheat' he manages to obtain is a very unlikely one that is far more than meets the eye. Who the hell would have thought that his last name, Serpentis, wasn't just a hell of an awful name, but also the title of a very powerful clan who could rival even the gods? "Sethren Serpentis, the Prince of Serpents, and heir to the Throne of Venom... I think that has a nice ring to it." With an uncanny cohort made up of a soul broken young mistress with sort of a personality disorder, a lecherous jade beauty dual cultivator whose... questionable techniques are rather disturbing, a blind swordswoman.. for some strange reason, a wimpy excuse of a cultivator who can see the future - so she's not completely useless, and a red headed dude who might as well be the sturdiest guy alive, Seth uses the power of his cheat to... Er... do what again? Ah, I can't really remember. I guess you'd have to read the rest of the book to find out. ✌ ;-)

My Cheat.

After being healed, Chun Hua found herself kneeling across her father. The atmosphere was suffocatingly heavy and she knee that Lee Xiaoping was about to drop big news on her. If she were a few dozen seasons younger, then her heart would have been racing from the suspense, but she was a full eighty seasons old.

"Ancestor Lee is dead, isn't he?"

Lee Xiaoping's heart skipped a few beats and his eyes widened while his pupils constricted into dots. How the hell did she know? He had ordered each and every member of the sect to keep their mouth's tightly shut so that he could be the one to tell her about their ancestor's demise. Chun Hua had been really, really close with ancestor Lee, so he was sure that she would be really hurt, but here she was, nonchalantly asking him as though she was asking about the weather.

"Who... Who told you?!"

Chun Hua simply shrugged her shoulders and tilted her head slightly.

"Can't you feel that the overwhelming aura Ancestor Lee used to emit is heavily reduced?"

Lee Xiaoping smiled slightly and slowly nodded his head. He was proud of how much his daughter had grown. Even he, despite being at the Qi reinforcement tier, had failed to notice the reduction in the pressure around the Sectdom, yet she could.

'My Chun Hua is going to become the next Immortal Sky Empress in no time.'

Anyways, he had serious matters to discuss, and so he had to push away the heart skipping thoughts on his daughter's cultivation prowess as he cleared his throat.

"Indeed, Chun Hua. Our Blazing Valor sect founder has met his end, and the Protector's Key has been returned to the divine scroll kept in the jaws of the golden dragon's maw. However, this means that..."

This time, it was Chun Hua's heart's turn to skip a beat.

"...That the Sky Emperor's Trial will soon hold..."

The Imperial Sky Emperor's Trial had only been held thrice in the history of existence. All the cultivators would be gathered together, and then they would have to go through unimaginable trials for the Imperial Sky Emperor. If you perished, you perished, but if you survived, you would grow exponentially stronger. The survivors would then be given one last challenge and the overall winner would receive the ancient divine scroll kept in the Dragon Temple of the Divine Lord. The scroll held a mysterious, unimaginable power in the form of a 'key' and would unlock a tool that would help the receiver to infinitely grow stronger. The key Ancestor Lee had received was in the form of a primordial chaos sword, that soared his cultivation speed by a hundred percent and slayed thousands of beasts at his will. The Protector before that, got a divine yang pendant that allowed him to cross over different dimensions, which he eventually abandoned his job and escaped to one day, and the first protector, the father of the second protector, was the very first Imperial Sky Emperor himself.

Chun Hua knew that she had to participate, whether she liked it or not, as she bowed 180° towards her father.

"I will work very hard to bring glory to Valor!"

Lee Xiaoping smirked lightly as he nodded his head in satisfaction. He had had his representatives to inform the other cultivators within the Blazing Valor sect, but chose to talk to his daughter personally.

Meanwhile, almost every other sect were having the exact same conversation with the strongest cultivators under their sects.

All the injuries, agony, and close calls he had gone through that literally left him in a state where he was in so much pain that he could not feel anything were all worth it, all for this moment. He pulled out the alluring red scroll and smiled as he read the inscription.

"Imperial Divine Ancient Scroll Of Power? That is so cringe." He then proceeded to unwrap the ancient scroll as he could swear that his heart was playing a drumroll in anticipation. The golden hue reflected on his face, as his waiting eyes absorbed the texts written on the ancient scroll. The texts that would help him conquer! The texts that would make him extremely powerful! The texts that would...

"It's fucking blank?!!!"

In front of his eyes, the ancient scroll was laid completely bare. It was so empty, that simply calling it 'just empty' would even be a very severe understatement. Not even a speck of ink could be found on it's surface. It was as literally clean as a lollipop stick would be after given to an eight year old kid and the kid was finished with it.

He could feel his heart shattering along with all his hopes and dreams.

"Fuck the scroll! All that's left is for the heavens to open up and declare that they hate me!"

In all the webnovels he had read all his life, he had never seen a transmigrator with a role as useless as his. No cheat, no special abilities, no special equipment. Heck, at this rate, he would even kill for a spirit grade magic seed! This situation was by far worse than his life back home. There, at least he could read himself to sleep and bask in the joy of following up a protagonist in their quest for power, but here he was sprawled out on the floor, eerily close to his deathbed and a mangled, bloody mess.

"Fuck the gods..." Seth spat out, before an electrifying pulse of agonizing pain tore through his entire being. Never before had be felt so much pain in his entire life!

"Make it stop! I'm sorry for cursing!!"

The pain was so intense that he could literally feel every single muscle, bone, artery and vein in his body screaming out in pure agony. This continued on for an unknown amount of time before he could finally open his eyes. When he did so, however, he was greeted by a floating holographic screen in front of his eyes.

"H.. Huh? What is happening?"

[Congratulations! You have unlocked the Xianxia System!]

[Now commencing healing process...]

Seth blinked twice and rubbed his eyes in bewilderment. A smile slowly crept up his face, as his lips curled upwards in joy.

"My cheat!!!"
