Edge's End - Flames of Rebirth
In an inconspicuous corner of the universe, in a quiet world, a portal created through low frequency sound abuse opened.
It led to an event called the Fall.
It emitted a noise that no creature of its era would forget, a noise that marked the end of their mundane lives. As the portal opened, similar ones opened in different locations of the world as well.
And out of those portals came strange beings that fed off despair and thirsted for destruction. They were called the 'Fallen'. They ravaged the world and nearly destroyed it, but it was the World's Will that turned the tides.
Humans were powerless against the Fallen, even with their heavy artillery, so they lost hope. But not for long. The World's Will established a System that turned the tides of war. It granted powers to the next generations of all creatures.
Fast forward, and the next generation reclaimed their world slowly but surely, leaving only two continents completely occupied by the Fallen. They operated under the titles of Destroyers, and became the idols of many.
Including Ren. Not everyone could become a Destroyer, so people like him were known as bottom-feeders and slaves to society.
At least at first.
After a certain event transpired inside of a recurring dream, Ren awakened a power that he'd never thought about.
'My future is blank now. It's up to me to create it.'
With an uncertain future, an unknown power, and an unknown ambition, Ren carves out a legacy for himself.
