Everything was set for bringing Mrs. Hatchanova and Melanie to the capital. Here they'll be safe until the trial and Melody will be more at ease.

But something on such a large scale can't be hidden from my parents for too long. Even if I decide not to think about it when I'm beside my Mom, she would still be able to tell I set up a mind blockade on purpose.

She'd already broken the news to Dad that Melody was my mate.

Yesterday, was a Friday. My younger sisters had a sleepover at school so they weren't at the breakfast table. Sage left as early as she needs to be, she had a punctuality record she didn't plan on breaking anytime soon. And Skipper? Probably still asleep.

"Mom, Dad, I asked Tiger to get me a safe house."

My Dad looked up, he seemed less tired now. Maybe he was able to pull together five hours of sleep last night.
