271 Chapter 271

Zhao Ming Mei was looking through the glass wall to see if anyone was standing there. She could not let anyone see them both together especially now.

Wang Yiran snapped her fingers to make Zhao Ming Mei look at her, "Look here"

When Zhao Ming Mei was satisfied that no one was looking at the direction of her office, she closed the blinds in the room even though no one would be able to look past the opaque glass wall.

Zhao Ming Mei asked Wang Yiran "Was anyone following you? Did anyone see you coming here?"

Wang Yiran was getting irritated, "Who is going to follow me?"

Zhao Ming Mei was intent on sending Wang Yiran out of the building as soon as possible, "Get out of here now. Right now. I don't want anyone to see you in my office"

Wang Yiran scoffed when she heard Zhao Ming Mei speaking to her disrespectfully. She was trying to control herself from exploding right now. Wang Yiran wanted to kill Li Zi Yun for the exact same reason and now Zhao Ming Mei was doing the same.

Zhao Ming Mei's manager entered the room as he had seen Wang Yiran entering the room tensed. Zhao Ming Mei and Wang Yiran were often at loggerheads with each other and he wanted to stop the fight even before it started, so that he entered the room without knocking.

Zhao Ming Mei yelled to her manger, pointing her fingers at Wang Yiran, "Take her out"

But Wang Yiran would not leave that easily, she knew how to get what she wanted, "You think you can kick me out now since we have been caught? I have a recording of you with that actor. Do not even think about marrying my brother."

Zhao Ming Mei wanted to choke Wang Yiran to death for yelling that in front of her assistant but instead she spoke calmly to her manager, "Get out. I have to talk to her and..."

"Make sure no one comes inside and warn me if anyone comes."

The manager bowed and left the room. When Zhao Ming Mei was sure that he had left, she turned towards Wang Yiran and spoke in a deadly calm voice, "There is zero chance that my life is going ruined because of that video. After pacing back and forth for a minute, Zhao Ming Mei finally settled on her chair after calming herself down.

She tried to speak as normally as she could, "What do you want? I have been patient with you all this time. Don't test my patience now. I told you repeatedly not to go there and your stupidity is going to be the end of you."

But Wang Yiran never knew when to shut her mouth, "I'm not stupid. You are the one who is stupid. Can't you hear what I am saying? Don't you understand in what grave danger we are? What if someone close to my brother found that chain in the crime scene? Tell me a solution."

Zhao Ming Mei knew that there was no evidence except Wang Yiran to link her to Li Zi Yun's kidnapping, therefore she was not much bothered now, but Wang Yiran speaking so casually to her was getting on her nerves, "FYI… you are the one who is in danger. Not me. Moreover, I have far more important things to deal with right now. So get out of my sight."

Wang Yiran started yelling at the top of her voice, "You got to be kidding me. THIS IS ALL, YOUR FAULT. If you had killed her then, we would not be in this dilemma and I would not have to tread carefully around my brother living in fear every second."

Zhao Ming Mei was done with Wang Yiran, "Get lost before I lose my patience bitch. I told you repeatedly not to go to the factory. So if you get caught… You Are The Only One In Trouble. As per records I was never in contact with anyone involved in the kidnapping" she finished with a smirk.

Zhao Ming Mei had been very meticulous and she had cleared any evidence that may point towards her. She only had to meet with the hacker as he was the best in the field and he would not do any job without knowing for whom he will be working. When Wang Yu had tracked down the hacker, Zhao Ming Mei had made sure that he was killed before Wang Yu could find him. She had used devices that are used by the army officials when contacting other people, to make sure that she was not tracked and the injections used to sedate Li Zi Yun along with the drugs she used to kill the baby had all been taken from her brother's hospital. In this way, Zhao Ming Mei did not have to deal with strangers so there were no loose ends to tie up.

Zhao Ming Mei was truly starting to regret using Wang Yiran in her plans. She could not kill Wang Yiran easily even if she wanted to. That would mean war between the two families and her family would not mind throwing her under the bus especially if they get to know what she did to Li Zi Yun. Zhao Ming Mei wanted to send out Wang Yiran before anyone else in the company saw her.

Zhao Ming Mei's assistant was extremely loyal to the Zhao family. Though this was useful to Zhao Ming Mei, often it led to problems for her. Even though the assistant was working under her, she had to be scared of him at times, as if he was her boss. Since the assistant was very loyal, he would report things that happened as it is to Grandfather Zhao and Zhao Ming Mei was always careful around him. Even the slightest carelessness from her part could ruin everything.

Zhao Ming Mei was a bit shaken when Wang Yiran opened up about her actor boyfriend in front of her assistant. She had him only for sex and nothing more. If her family knows about this then her family would start digging up more. Zhao Ming Mei did not have time to waste on all this but Wang Yiran was really testing her patience right now. She knew that she had to somehow keep the assistant from telling her family and before that, she wanted to win the voting right now.

Wang Yiran finally understood that Zhao Ming Mei would push the blame onto her if they caught. She could never let that happen but she was too angry to coerce Zhao Ming Mei into helping her. Wang Yiran did not care if she even had to threaten Zhao Ming Mei as long as she got what she wanted. Getting caught by Wang Yu would mean death for sure and she was not ready to die.

Zhao Ming Mei had to call and meet with some of the board of directors but Wang Yiran was wasting her time now.

Zhao Ming Mei was in a hurry to send of Wang Yiran, "Look. I do not have time for you right now so why don't we talk later. Leave now I will call you at night. Leave. Now."

Wang Yiran was adamant, "What is more important that this? Do you even understand what is happening here? Someone found my chain that I was wearing when I went to see that bitch Li Zi Yun when she was lying there in that old factory!"

Zhao Ming Mei was ready to drag Wang Yiran out now, "I don't have the patience to deal with you now. So it's better if you leave on your own."

Wang Yiran got scared for a second seeing this abrupt change in Zhao Ming Mei, "What?"

Zhao Ming Mei spoke to Wang Yiran looking into her eyes, "Even if you get caught and blame me, I can easily say that you were the mastermind behind this. Paying your manager to shut her mouth won't be that hard."
