The doctors had been waiting outside from the moment they were informed and as soon as the car stopped in front of the hospital, Wang Yu came out carrying Li Zi Yun and placed her on a stretcher and she was rushed inside. Li Zi Yun was immediately taken inside for surgery. Wang Yu's parents and Li Zi Yun's parents were waiting for them at the hospital and Wang Yu was running behind the doctors who were taking Li Zi Yun into the operating room.

Wang Yu was covered in Li Zi Yun's blood and when his mother saw him, she rushed towards him. They had to sit in the waiting area and they were all sitting together.

Mrs. Wang asked to Wang Yu looking at his blood stained shirt, "What happened to you?"

Wang Yu only managed to say, "This is her blood. She… she is…"

Li Zi Yun's mother Meng Xuan Li collapsed on the floor hearing this. Wang Yu's suit was in red color and after seeing Li Zi Yun's state, both Meng Xuan Li and Zhao Yu Zheng they did not know what to think. They wanted to be positive but they could not.

The doctor who was about to operate on Li Zi Yun came outside to ask the Wang Yu the most important question, "We would not let the situation come to this but if.. If there is a situation where we have choose between Mrs. Wang and the baby…"

Mrs. Wang started speaking, "The ba…"

But Wang Yu cut her off, "My wife. Save my wife no matter what. She is more important. No matter what… Save her please…"

Everyone looked at Wang Yu but they could not say a word. The doctor nodded her head and went inside. The family members knew that no one other than Wang Yu had the rights to make this decision.

Wang Yu's eyes were blinded with anger. He slammed his fists on the wall again and again until his knuckles were bleeding. Someone tried to stop him but he pushed them away. Wang Yu took care of no one; all he could think about was his wife. He should have protected his wife but here she was in the operating room in a life or death situation. Someone tried to bandage his hands but he pushed them away. He did not want to be treated. This was nothing compared to what Li Zi Yun was suffering.

Wang Yu was paving back and forth in the waiting area. After being in deep thought for some time, Wang Yu walked straight to the hospital director's room. Everyone stayed back in the waiting area and no one could say a word. After some time Wang Yu returned with the hospital director and they about to enter room where Li Zi Yun was being treated, but the director stopped him.

The hospital director said to Wang Yu, "President please get your hand bandaged before you enter. It's not safe"

A doctor and nurse were waiting ready to bandage his hands and Wang Yu hurried them, "Quick"

Wang Yu wore the scrubs and masks; and entered the operating theatre. Li Zi Yun's stomach had been cut open to take out the babies and several tubes had been connected to her body. Wang Yu went over to Li Zi Yun and started stroking her hair. She was lying there totally unresponsive and he knew that she couldn't feel his hands but still he kept drawing circles with his thumb looking at her face.

Meng Xuan Li had not uttered a word from the moment she saw Li Zi Yun. She could not forget what she saw. She felt like history was repeating itself. Earlier she lost her child and now Li Zi Yun's life was in danger. The only reason she reached out to the Wang family now was because she hoped that Wang Yu would somehow save her daughter. Never in a million years did she think that what happened to her would also happen to her daughter.

Meng Sen Xi came and sat next to Meng Xuan Li, "Auntie you have to eat something"

Meng Jian gave her water, "At least drink something"

Meng Xuan Li at last opened her mouth, "If this was going to happen to her, why did I stay away for all these years?"

Zhao Yu Zheng tried to console his wife, "When she wakes up, we can take her home"

Meng Xuan Li looked at Meng Sen Xi and asked him, "Who did this? Who did this to my daughter? I want to kill them with my own hands"

Meng Sen Xi said what he knew, "Wang Yu has taken them. We will find out soon."

Meng Feng scolded his son, "What are you doing here without investigating? Go and find out"

It was not that Meng Sen Xi did not want to investigate, but he wanted to wait at least until Li Zi Yun's surgery ends. He wanted to know if Li Zi Yun would be okay.

Not a word was spoken after that. Everyone sat there still waiting for the surgery to end. Meng Sen Xi's clothes and hands were stained with blood, but he did not move to even clean up. He had killed many people and tortured several more, but he would never do something outrageous as torturing a pregnant woman. That bastard had even cut her wrist.

Li Zi Yun had been a good friend to Meng Sen Xi and he just could not understand why someone would want to do this to her. He knew very well that the kidnapper could have killed Li Zi Yun easily but they did not do that. Instead, they wanted to make Li Zi Yun and Wang Yu suffer. Meng Sen Xi vowed to himself, 'I will get to the bottom of this'.

After what seemed like hours, Wang Yu walked out, his hands full of blood.

Meng Xuan Li ran to him, "My Zi Yun? Is she…" she was scared to say the next word. Wang Yu looked pale and soulless. Meng Xuan Li could not ask the question.

Zhao Yu Zheng asked Wang Yu "Is she alive? Will she be okay?"

Wang Yu nodded his head. Mrs. Wang asked the next question that no one had the heart to ask, "The baby?"

Wang Yu shook his head. He could not being himself to say it.
