Recap

Leonardo Marci, a former football prospect whose career was cut short by an injury, is hit by a truck while playing football with children in a park. He regains consciousness and finds himself in the body of a teenager named Hayashi Murano.

Murano, who is now aware of his previous life as Leonardo, discovers that he has been transmigrated into the world of the Blue Lock manga, a football training program designed by Ego to create the best striker in the world.

As Murano enters the Blue Lock facility, he is immediately placed on Team X, ranking 265. Meeting his new teammates, they engage in a game of tag as part of the entrance test, which challenges his agility and strategic thinking.

Murano successfully evades being tagged and eliminates another contestant, showcasing his talents and quick reflexes.

At the end of the game, Murano reflects on his abilities and ego and plans to achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer.

First Selection

Murano and his Team X participate in the Blue Lock First Selection, aiming to qualify for the Second Selection. With a system that offers quests, rewards, and penalties, Murano rapidly improves his skills and competes against other teams.

He soon becomes rivals with Barou as they fought for who should lead Team X.

During the initial matches in Blue Lock, Murano demonstrates his superior soccer skills and strategic thinking by scoring goals and leading his team to victory. Going undefeated.

Despite facing tough competition from players like Nagi, Murano surpasses them all.

Murano receives system updates throughout these chapters that provide him with challenges and rewards based on his performance in the games. He also gains system points for completing these challenges, which he can use to improve his abilities and stats.

Murano also shows significant character growth as he begins to understand how to be an "egoist," an individual player who prioritizes their own talent over teamwork. He learns to assert himself on the pitch, utilizing his particular talents to make significant plays.

By the end of the first chapter, Murano has successfully survived the first selection of Blue Lock with 15 goals and 5 assists as the leading top scorer and assist in all stratums, moving on to the second round.

Second Selection

The second selection of the Blue Lock program begins, and all 127 players gather. Ego explains that the second selection consists of five stages, and those who manage to clear the second selection will participate in a training camp with some of the world's best players.

The first stage of the second selection was a one-on-one contest between a striker and Blue Lock Man, a holographic goalkeeper. Players must score 100 goals within 90 minutes to pass within a limited area. The difficulty increases as more holograms that are stationary are added, and they start moving quickly after scoring 60 goals.

In this stage, Murano ranks fifth and decides to team up with Kurona and Nagi. They face off against the top three players but ultimately lose. However, Nagi catches the top three's attention and gets picked for further rounds.

Murano got his sh*t together after realizing he could be out of Blue Lock if he loses his next match.

In the following stages, he picks up Barou, then Shidou, and eventually Hiori to form a team that competes against the World Five.

Against the World Five...

Murano and his team face off against the formidable Team World Five in a football match. Having previously upgraded their skills through tough training, they managed to carry out impressive plays despite being under immense pressure.

Towards the end of the game, Murano uses a special skill called Chronoception to slow down his perception of time, allowing him to react swiftly to opponents' moves. The protagonist successfully wins 1 vs. 1 against all members of the World Five—Silva, Cevasoz, Blake, Luna, and Loki—to score a solo goal.

Despite tensions within Team X, particularly with Barou's disruptive attitude, Murano's skill and performance turned the game in their favor. By the end, they had won against the World Five with a score of 5-4.

Murano went on to score three goals and make one assist against the World Five, earning the respect and approval of Loki.

He then picks up three of the World Five's abilities. Adam Blake's Extreme Physique, Leonardo Luna's Predator-Eye, and Julian Loki's Godspeed.

Third Selection

For the first time, Murano enters the selection of Blue Lock as the number one player in Blue Lock. The main goal was for the players to prove themselves and synergize with Rin, Shidou, or Murano.

A successful showing in this selection will earn them a coveted spot on the Blue Lock's team against the U-20 Japan team.

Then, during the game against Team C, Murano suffers an injury that brings back traumatic memories of his past career-ending injury.

Now, Murano prepares to take the field in the U-20 Japan match, determined to prove his place on the national stage. The road to becoming the world's best striker continues...
