Kick-off!!

The match started as we immediately settled into our formation.

"Have this!" I said as I passed the ball in midfield to Hiori and ran forward.

I sprinted forward, Luna and Adam Blake closed off the openings in the middle to prevent Hiori and the other Blue Lock players from getting past the midfield.

"I'm coming for you!" Godspeed Loki was running quickly in Hiori's direction to steal the ball.

"Bring it on," Hiori responded. Immediately, he sent a long cross from the deep midfield to Shidou, who was heading toward the attacking third with me ready to attack.

"Nice choice!" Shidou said as he received the ball close to the middle of the attacking third. He immediately turned around and flicked it to me, as Dada Silva closed in on him.

Shidou flicked the ball towards me, but Cavasoz quickly came into the space between me and Shidou, managed to get to the ball as it was heading my way, and then kicked it toward Adam Blake with the tip of his boot.

Adam Blake leaped to meet the ball in midair and was about to take control of it when Barou abruptly bumped him. Allowing Blake to miss the ball as it strayed away.

Although the challenge was successful, the World Five players clearly showed no signs of panic as Hiori controlled the ball as it strayed on the right side of the midfield line before sending a long cross to Kurona on the left.

Kurona immediately took a single touch on the ball to skip past Luna, who had just closed him down. Then he twisted and rolled around to get further away from the opponent. "Go for it!" Kurona shouted before making a short cross in my direction.

I carefully timed my run, ready to receive Kurona's pass. As the ball came towards me, I elevated my right foot as I shot the ball, attempting a volley towards the goal. The ball connected perfectly with my foot, rocketing through the air toward the top corner of the net. The Blue Lock Man lunged desperately but was unable to reach it as the ball found its way to the back of the net.

"Yeah!!" I yelled as I pumped my fist. My teammates were approaching me happily to celebrate the goal, but I directed them not to and to go back to their positions. "The job's not finished," I said.

Despite scoring the first goal, the World Five appeared to be relaxed. They didn't care since they mostly allowed the Blue Lock team to score first before going hard on them. I don't know if they weren't playing seriously in the first phase or if they were just confident in their ability to come back and win. But either way, it was clear that they were not yet concerned.
