15 SHE IS A FIGHTER

She was a savage

A fucking brute

Unafraid to fight

For what she wanted

Brave enough to go to war

For what she deserved.

**************

Dorian knew he was appointed to look after this girl, to keep her safe from the astral creature, but Drustan didn't say anything about humans.

Dorian wouldn't hesitate to kill any creature that had bad intentions toward Apple, but he couldn't recklessly kill those human bastards, could he?

He reached out to the pocket of his jeans, where he kept his phone and made a call to Drustan when Brian waved Apple a goodbye with a mocking smile etched on his lips before he ran toward a different direction and disappeared on the corner, leaving his cousin alone with the three strangers guy.

"What should I do?" Dorian asked Drustan through the phone call that he made. "Three young men are about to harass the girl," he informed him.

There was no answer from the end of the call, but another second later, Dorian heard a soft sound from behind his back. He didn't need to turn around to see what happened, since he was way too familiar with it.

"She fights well, Master," Dorian commented, as he ended the call and put back the phone onto his jeans because the person was already standing beside him.

Rain was pouring down heavily and the street lamps had been turned on, while the two people were standing near the light pole, hiding in the dark. No one noticed them.

Meanwhile, a few meters away from the two magical people, Apple was glaring fiercely at the three men in front of her.

She wiped her face rather roughly to get rid of the rain from her sight and tossed her long hair behind her back. If the only gaze could kill, the three of them would have been long dead by her green eyes.

Unfortunately, that was not the case.

"Will we just stay and watch?" Dorian shifted his attention toward Drustan beside him, he tried to find his own answer on his facial expression, but he found nothing. He didn't show any emotion.

On the other hand, Apple backed away when the three of them moved closer to her.

"You don't have any idea how much money your cousin owns us, don't you?" one of them spoke to her in his hoarse tone. They didn't seem in a rush, as if they had the whole time in this world to get Apple, but they enjoyed building the tension. "So, you better not give us another problem. You would like to meet our boss, but before that, why don't you play with us first?"

That was a lame picked-up line that made Apple cringe. "My cousin, who owed you money, so why did you come to me instead of asking him to pay you off?"

Apple tried to stall the time, as she looked at her surroundings, trying to find something that she could use to defend herself, and found three empty bottles, not too far from her left side.

"Do you think your family has that much fortune to pay us?" the second man scowled at her.

"You are so stupid." Apple tried to make her movement as smooth as possible when she ambled toward the bottles. "If you think he can't pay you, why did you give him the money?"

After years of quarreling and fighting with Marry and Cherry, Apple had enhanced her critical thinking and her way of speaking.

"You don't know when you have to close your mouth," the other guy snorted. He looked at Apple menacingly. They couldn't argue with that, because it was true. Why did their boss give them money, knowing Brian wouldn't be able to pay him back?

"Or, why should it be me?" Apple was only a few steps away from the bottle. "Don't you know that Brian has a sister? She is more attractive than me. I can introduce you to her right now if you want." Apple even didn't blink her eyes when she sold her cousin.

Well, why should she feel bad? Brian was Cherry's brother, thus it was her responsibility to take care of her stupid sibling.

"You are only wasting our time, why don't we play now?"

Under the heavy rain and the light of the lamp post, the three men looked like the real thug. They didn't even bother to hide their intention toward Apple and that disgusted her greatly.

If Apple had a chance, or the day when she graduated from her school and finally could move out from that obnoxious house, she should remind herself to kick Brian hard between his legs and give Cherry and Marry a good goodbye slap.

Because of this rain, the wounds that still hadn't healed on Apple's skin became even more painful. This annoyed her.

"Fuck you," Apple hissed and then ran toward the bottles when the three of them chased after her.

The ground was slippery because of the rain and Apple almost lost her footing. Fortunately, she steadied herself in time and grabbed one of the bottles, when one of the men held onto her wrist. Thus, when he pulled her closer to him, Apple smashed the bottle against his head, just like she had done to Brian before.

The man fell to the ground, wailing in pain, while the other two were caught by surprise.

Apple didn't stop there. She seized the second bottle and did the same thing to the second guy, who was closer to her, but he dodged it in time.

Knowing she couldn't use the same trick again, Apple backed away and slammed the bottle to the wall instead, pointing the sharp part toward them, as if she was holding a dagger.

"If you dare to come closer, I will not hesitate to rip your face," Apple said coldly. Her body was trembling.

However, she couldn't tell whether she was shaking out of fear, anger or because the cold wind added to the fact that her body was soaking wet.

"She is a fighter," Dorian commented.
